Question on non-blocking socket
Hi, December 27, 2021 I started a thread asking for help troubleshooting non-blocking sockets. While developing the RBaseX client, I had issues with the authentication process. It eventually turned out that a short break had to be inserted in this process between sending the credentials to the server and requesting the status. Tomas Kalibera put me on the right track by drawing my attention

Problem getting new mail from Postfix to Dovecot
Dear reader, I am having problems getting new mail into my Inbox. I have this in my dovecot.conf: default_mail_env = maildir:~/Maildir:INBOX=/var/mail/%u The logs show nothing special, catting /var/mail/%u shows the new mails coming in, as does /var/log/mail.info Any clues? SIP 603 response when call is not answered
Hi I have noticed that asterisk returns 'SIP 603' when the called party does not answer. My test setup is simple: two SIP phones (extensions: 100 and 111) registered to an Asterisk 1.8.30.0 gateway. The Dial timeout is 30 seconds. When 100 calls 111 and after 30 seconds, asterisk sends a CANCEL request to 111 (expected) and a '603 Decline' response to 100 (unexpected &

Using Puppet's client certificates for Apache, SSLVerifyClient
Hi - I read up on this subject quite a bit, and was able to find a few posts on the mailing list, even found a wiki article. Unfortunately it doesn''t quite address what I''m looking to do. From what I understand, Puppet''s client/server authentication system - using SSL - is portable. I believe that I should be able to use the same SSL certificates and keys (and even

Status Matrix
The wiki page for the feature matrix [1] has been gone for weeks, yet it is still being linked to from the nouveau main page [2]. Personally, I'm sad that it's gone. Will it come back eventually? Martin Engbers [1] http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/FeatureMatrix [2] http://nouveau.freedesktop.org

Fedora 40 nut-server not starting at boot
OK, looking at this on my RH8 test image . . . The first thing that I note, is that the *only* thing that needed to be set to "enabled" in systemctl (IE "systemctl enable ....") is the nut.target entry. All else here are disabled, and "drug along" by nut.target which ensures that they come up in sequence. In nut.target I added to the "After" and

How to implement a schedule of recurring events?
Hello, I am fairly new to Ruby and Ruby on Rails. I am creating an application that "has many :groups", each with their own schedule of events. This is a little different than a calendar of events, since these events recur every week and do not have a specific date. So for example, I need to display a schedule for one group that looks like this: Group A''s Activities - Monday
