Hello all! I am using a dovecot-server since several weeks - and am really impressed about this server (after using courier and cyrus). I tried to install the sieve-plugin now (CentOS RPM) and configured sieve like described in your WIKI (and on several other pages). This is a long-standing issue going back at least a year from what I can see in mailing list archives. Still not working as of Samba 4.8.3. I think MS broke something with one of the Windows 10 updates. In my situation, this is a brand-new 4.8.3 install. For me the crashes happen when I try to edit the share folder permissions right out of the box from whatever Samba set in there by default.

I was wondering if I should add compression support to mdbox one mail at a time or one file (~2MB) at a time. The tradeoffs are: * one mail at a time allows quickly seeking to wanted mail inside the file, but it can't compress mails as well * one file at a time compresses better, but seeking is slow because it can only be done by uncompressing all the data until the wanted offset is reached

Hello, I've realised that there was an error on this server, wrong idmap.ldb, 3000002 should be one of the built-in users or groups instead of machine own account. Unfortunately fixing idmap (I imported idmap.ldb from DC with correct mapping) didn't fix my original error, as it still appears each time samba is restarted.
