1.1.7: quota problem, unable to delete mails when quota exceeded
Hi, When user exceeds it's quota then dovecot can't create it's files and it's showing zero mails :( This also means that user is unable to delete it's own mails. Sounds like kind-of bug, right? Dec 15 08:28:37 mbox1 dovecot: IMAP(xxx): open(/var/mail/xxx/dovecot-uidlist.lock) failed: Disk quota exceeded Dec 15 08:28:37 mbox1 dovecot: IMAP(kdudus):

Quota Exceeded message
Any plans on having custom Quota Exceeded messages in the future (or now)? I'd love to be able to put the exceeding username in the message to help with some issues. Thanks, Cassidy

Quota exceeded delivery message
Hi I have assigned quotas to my users and in turn use quota_warning for my users send them a message saying that the level of its quota is about to be exceeded. when the quota is exceeded, the script runs again sending a message to the user and is rejected by the server. there is any way to get the message when the postmaster, is delivered to the mailbox even when exceeded the quota or

Block public namespace mail when quota exceeded
Dear All, is it possible to temporarily reject mails, when quota of public namespace subfolder is exceeded? I'd check folder size with a cronjob. Dovecot is using a system user, so I guess blocking post and insert in ACL isn't a solution? I don't want to set the folder to read-only, that users can still delete mails. Thank you in advance. - Chris

Custom 'quota exceeded' message + Sieve script from database
Hi! I'm quite new to Dovecot. helping my friend to migrate from Courier-IMAP to something more efficient, we are evaluating Dovecot at the moment. I had to prepare 2 small patches for Dovecot to suit our needs, and I've decided to post it here. I'm not fully familiar with Dovecot architecture yet, I'd appreciate if someone could look if these changes make sense (i.e.

Quota exceeded messages
When I try to move messages between folders I get 'Quota exceeded' messages. I installed dovecot without any major configuration and accounts are created with PostfixAdmin. Is there some common setting that I must be missing? Version in use is 1.0 rc26 - Frank

Geting mail quota exceeded with plenty of space
> Further checkings shows another user also getting "Quota exceeded". This > user has only 127Mb toward his quota. Only these two users have this > problem. So far. Both are infrequent mail checkers. It might be the quota for number of messages : Check with "doveadm quota get -u user at domain.example" If there is a limit for number of messages. Regards, --

Corrupted index problem when disk quota exceeded
Hi! I should report yet another problem with dovecot index files. Suppose we have a user with his filesystem disk quota exceeded. He logins via POP3 or IMAP to remove some mail messages and fix this problem. When he logins for the first time, everything works fine, and he can read and remove something. But if his disk quota is still exceeded when he logs out, he cannot login any more.

(1.0.13) fsync failed: Disk quota exceeded for some accounts
Hello all, We've recently migrated the mail server used by our 5000 students, from Tru64/UW-IMAP/Procmail/Postfix/mbox to Debian Etch/Dovecot/Deliver/Postfix/Maildir E-mails are not stored directly on the server (except for index and control files), but on an NAS that exports the students' homedirs on NFS. Each student has a 100MB quota on the NAS. Here is the configuration : vega:~#

Bug or undesired behavior when quota exceeded
Hi, I have just noticed an undesired behavior when using rsync when disk quota is exceeded. I do not know how to avoid it (or maybe it can be considered as a bug). The following is a scenario that leads to the undesired behavior: 1) I normally execute two following commands to synchronize folders between a local host and a remote host: rsync -aCPvu --existing <dir1>

INBOX as mbox, other mailboxes as maildir
All, I'm trying to teach dovecot to use the mbox format for /var/mail/%u and maildir for /home/%u/Mail/ but I'm having quite a hard time. This is Dovecot v1.0.beta3 under OpenBSD 3.9 on sparc64. I've been fiddling with default_mail_env and also tried separate namespaces, but all to no avail. Here's some of the things I tried : default_mail_env =

Disc quota exceeded when attempting to write session
Hi All, When trying to write sessions file, I''m getting disc quota errors. Looking into the sessions folder, I see: -rw------- 1 www www 188 Aug 2 21:03 ruby_sess.d39a2c77b4750b72 -rw-r--r-- 1 www www 0 Aug 2 21:03 ruby_sess.d39a2c77b4750b72.tmp I''m guessing the the tmp should not be there, as it does not show on my dev setup.
