WDI package commands timing out and not working
Thanks, Martin. I am trying this in Bengaluru, India, using R-studio. I
tried downloading a single variable. It happened fast, in less than 5
seconds. I tried downloading six variables, it took much longer, but less
than a minute. Tried eight variables and it did not download even in five
minutes. My internet speed is well above 40Mbps. This should not take that
long. It seems the process timed

In the browser the link downloads immediately, in less than a second. I let
the command run in R for five minutes, using R Studio. Nothing happened.

dumping using tftp
Hi
Yeah I ended up figuring it out
My usage for the tool will be to gather hardware specs of new servers that we receive and servers we have in storage
I will then see if I can script something to phrase the dumps to update our inventory tool.
Our main issue is that gathering information manually by opening the server and having to locate each parts is time consuming and being humans we are

dumping using tftp
Hello,
I'm not quite sure I understand how do you use HDT for dumping over tftp server.
The wiki on dumping does not offer much details on how to set this up.
>From my understanding is you need to run pxelinux somewhere but being that HDT is a bootable cd ISO,
I don't see how I can get HDT up from a TFTP server without the need to install something on that TFTP server.
Is there a more

I'm not sure to get your point properly.
If you need to upload a result to a tftp server, you need to PXE boot hdt
to gain the network service.
HDT can be booted in PXE by using the hdt.c32 which is available with every
syslinux release.
Does it make much more meaning ?
I also would be very interesting on what is your usage of HDT and
expectations ;o)

Only 1 physical CPU is seen
Hello
Is there a way from using HDT to determine the correct number of physical CPU's in the system with their correct amount of cores?
It seems HDT is only displaying 1 CPU and is sorta combining the cores.
Even when going through the dump files, I'm not able to use the data to correctly determine how many CPU's are in the system.
Is there away?

Windows driver installer not always successful
The Windows driver installer isn't always successful, actually most of
the time it fails. I thought it was due to differences between Windows
XP and 7 or different UPS models. But I'm noticing that it might be a
bit more random than that.
What does seem to always work is running wdi-simple.exe from the others
folder manually.
When having it run from the NUT installer, it will extract

Oxford English Dictionary on CD
Has anybody learned how to make the Oxford English Dictionary cd run
under wine?
I have the Oxford English Dictionary, a wonderful reference work, on CD.
It runs under Windows 95 or 98. The OED program has a license control
program that requires you to insert the CD in order to access the data,
under Windows. The CD has some kind of secret key that has to be found
before the program will run.

googleVis motionchart - slow with Date class
Hi,
I am trying to create a googleVis motion chart with monthly data. When formatting the date column as a Date class variable, the plot as presented in the browser becomes considerably slower and very prone to crashing the browser. To illustrate this issue I have modified the WorldBank demo.
