Samba, LDAP und TLS
Hi List ;-) I consider my question to be rather simple one ... nevertheless I could not find an answer to it up to now. I have an OpenLDAP-server which is the user-db for an samba3-server. I want to use TLS for secure communication, so I created a ca for this as well as keys/certificates for my LDAP and samba-server. Informing the LDAP-server about its certificate/key is easy ... but how do I

wininet not sending Content-Length: in header (http 411 error)
Using an app that uses msinet.ocx. msinet is a dumbed down MS wrapper for wininet and VB use. Running the app native on windows works but when running it through wine 0.9.15 the server replies back with a 411 response. I tried http and https with the same result(decrypted the SSL to make sure). 1 8 1150206672.2493 (0.0006) C>S application_data

Outlook 2010 woes
So after several days of more troubleshooting, I have some things to report to the list. First and foremost, I have discovered that the issue has nothing to do with SSL/TLS, which was my earlier suspicion because after doing some PCAPs I discovered that the transactions were negotiating TLS 1.2 on the new server, as opposed to 1.0 on the old. Also thank you for the rawlog suggestion: that

dovecot 0.99.14 and imaps (SSL) "hangs"
Hello, I just decided to try dovecot again after a long pause, and I must say that I am very impressed with the speed and resource usage, even when running with UNIX mailboxes. However, I have a problem with SSL. Every two minutes the connection is frozen, and the client has to reconnect after it times out waiting for a response from the server. My IMAP client fetches all headers, and then

Dump Unencrypted SSL Traffic
I've got an application that I can run under wine. It uses SSL to communicate with a server. Since it's using SSL I can't just sniff the network packets. What would be the best way to have wine be able to dump the unencrypted data to a file for analysis? If this requires modifying code, which files should I look at? -- Anish Mistry amistry at am-productions.biz AM Productions

density
Hi, I used the density function in the R package, and got the following results. I just wonder how to explain them. What is Min, 1st Qu, Median, and so on? I could not find an explanation from help(density). The plot doesn't seem to match the x and y value either. Thanks in advance for any help that you can give me! Outlook 2010 woes
In case anyone is interested, we finally found the problem: The new (2.2) server had "auth_mechanisms" of "digest-md5" enabled along with "plain". This is what was causing the four-second delay, but only with Outlook clients. Everything is working great now across the board. Thanks again to everyone's suggestions. - bryan On 10/27/16 7:09 PM, Bryan

Total effect of X on Y under presence of interaction effects
Dear all, this is probably more a statistics question than an R question but probably there is somebody who can help me nevertheless. I'm running a regression with four predictors (a, b, c, d) and all their interaction effects using lm. Based on theory I assume that a influences y positively. In my output (see below) I see, however, a negative regression coefficient for a. But several of the

two-sample mean difference
Dear list, I have a time-series Y of length n which has significant auto-correlation at lag 1, as indicated by acf plots. According to certain criteria, I have defined two groups of observations n1 and n2. The objective is to estimate the difference of the means between these groups and test for significance. The problem is how to correct for auto-correlation within the groups. I guess one way
