visibility of groups when multiple Samba servers use the same LDAP server
Hi,
we are using a _single_ LDAP server as backend for _multiple_ Samba
standalone file servers (security=user). This LDAP server serves mainly
other purposes and access for Samba is read only so the situation is not
optimal but "it works for us". Still I don't understand one phenomenon
concerning visibility of LDAP groups.
The LDAP configuration in smb.conf for all our Samba

Problems to put dovecot-ldap.conf working
Hi Folks,
I'm having a little trouble to put dovecot authenticating in ldap.
My postfix and saslauthd are authenticating fine.
Here is what I have in my main.cf:
# Accounts
accounts_server_host = $ldap_server_host
accounts_search_base = $ldap_search_base
accounts_query_filter =
(&(&(objectClass=VirtualMailAccount)(mail=%s))(forwardActive=FALSE)(acco

sssd problems after dc1 is no longer online
Hi all,
I hope that this request for help will be the last one, for a while to
come. Today, sernet support helped my sort out our DC mess, and they did
a great job. However, sssd no longer works, and I hope someone here can
help out.
We used to have DC1, DC2 and DC3. DC1 was the classic-upgraded, first,
'original' DC, and had to be shutdown, unfortunately. So only DC2 and

sssd getent problem with Samba 4.0
Version 4.0.6-GIT-4bebda4
Hi
I have sssd up and running. It works fine except that getent only
returns domain users if I specify the object e.g.
getent passwd
and
getent group
return only local users
but
getent passwd steve2
steve2:*:3000034:20513:steve2:/home/users/steve2:/bin/bash
and
getent group Domain\ Users
Domain Users:*:20513:
work fine.

Password Must Change using SSSD in Samba 4.1.10
Hi,
I am trying to implement the *password must change at next logon* in CentOS
6.5 client using sssd 1.11.6 where Samba 4.1.10 is my backend server.
Here are the list of things which I have done,
1. I have setup the CentOS to do the Domain login using sssd service. I can
able to login into the CentOS client using Domain user's credentials from
display
and from SSH also, no problem at all.

Secondary groups not recognized by Samba
I am running Samba 4.1.12 with SSSD 1.12.2 on RHEL 7.1. I have joined my
system to a Win 2008r2 domain. I have added the necessary unix attributes
to all relevant users and groups. When I add a domain group to a
directory, either as the primary group or as an ACL, I can access the share
locally from the server, but cannot access the share from a Windows system
via the SMB share. If I change

Thanks again, Denis, Steve and Rowland for your previous answers about

Maybe I'm an dreamer but here is that I wanted to achieve :

No. See my previous message. I think it's the result of copying
portions of SuSE configurations.

Dovecot 2.0.5 - multiple auth processes.
Hi.
On Dovecot 1.2.x it is possible to run multiple auth daemons.
Is it possible on dovecot 2.0.x ?
(Setting "process_min_avail" for auth service gives this error message:
"doveconf: Fatal: Error in configuration file /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf:
service(auth): process_min_avail is higher than process_limit")

Hi!
Setup: Debian, Samba 4.11
After successfully setting up samba4, I want this machine to authenticate
against the running samba4-server. I've created /etc/krb5.conf:

Authentication via SASL and LDAP?
Hello,
I've recently configured a new virtual machine host running Ubuntu 12.04 server with libvirt and KVM. I am configuring WebVirtMgr ( https://github.com/retspen/webvirtmgr/ ) for users to manage machines via a web interface. This requires access to the host using qemu+tcp, which I have configured as follows:
/etc/default/libvirt-bin:
start_libvirtd="yes"
