Problem with squirrelmail and dovecot 1.1
Hello! I'm running squirrelmail 1.4.8 (I know this is not the latest version) and know I'm having troubles with: 1.) Folder list view 2.) Save to sent or Drafts folder. Configuration worked well. I think it has to do with the upgrade from dovecot 1.0 to 1.1 and the LIST command. Thunderbird/alpine work well. Commands from rawlog are: A002 LIST "" "~/Mail/Drafts"

Dovecot/Pigeonhole Issue (UTC modtime instead of localtime)
Hi List, We are using the following setup: Dovecot-2.2.18 Pigeonhole-0.4.8 (for Dovecot-2.2) After the mail is finally delivered via a fileinto by the Sieve filter it gets an updated timestamp (modification time). The server has localtime setup correctly IMO (UTC +0200), but still the delivered mail is setup as being two hours old. I think I found out that the function

Dovecot/Pigeonhole Issue (UTC modtime instead of localtime)
Hello ML, Hello Stephan, > Hmm. Probably, the timezone configuration (i.e. the contents of TZ > timezone environment variable) somehow doesn't reach the final stages > of e-mail delivery. Well. I tried several ways of telling the lda or whatever is setting up the INTERNALDATE to use the CEST +0200. Although it is already setup on the server via a symlink from /etc/localtime to

Weird internaldate behavior with 1.0-test80 and mbox folder
Has anyone else encountered weird date behavior with mbox-style folders? I am nearly ready to bite the bullet and convert my UW imap hierarchy (which is in mbx format) to Dovecot. In so doing, I need to convert each UW-specific mbx-format mailboxes to the more portable mbox format, which Dovecot can read. (This is done with the 'mbxcvt' utility that's part of UW.) I am then

offlineimap with dovecot: file-time is one hour in the future
I use offlineimap to sync my remote IMAP-server with my local IMAP-server (maildir format). But I don't understand this behavior: every new mail in the INBOX has a file-date which is one hour in the future. Is this 'normal'? Is this a problem of offlineimap? I tried this debugging (for dovecot): mail_executable = /usr/lib/dovecot/rawlog /usr/lib/dovecot/imap and this (for offlineimap):

Another issue with Sys.timezone
(I reported the test failure mentioned below to R-help but was advised that this list is the right one to address the issue; in the meantime I investigated the matter somewhat more closely, including searching recent R-devel postings, since I haven't been following this list.) Last May there were two reports here of problems with Sys.timezone, one where the zoneinfo directory is in a

outdated timezone info
Just upgraded 4.7 to 4.8 stable. Hoped that timezone info will be up to date, but it still isn't though files in /usr/share/zoneinfo show new dates. For instance daylight saving time settings are outdated in Europe/Vilnius file. I'll try to recompile those files from sources got fom ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/ but it would be nice to have updated info for the next release of freebsd or

My Dsync isn't replicating 'EXPUNGE' IMAP command
Hi! I have two Dovecot-2.2.13 servers with Dsync Replication: server1 and server2. When I execute 'EXPUNGE' on server1 side, the messages with FLAG \Deleted are expunged only on server1. The message is still present in Server2. Could someone give me a hint reason for this ? Thanks in advance! -- Thiago Henrique ======================================================================

Hosting timezone differs of clients timezone
Hi, I have a website in production wich uses a lot of date and time calculations to show specific information. The timezone of my hosting service (Dreamhost) is PDT, and the timezone of my potential clients is CEST. There are 9 hours of difference between them. Is there an environment variable that I could adjust in my rails application, so all date/time values be set to CEST timezone? Thanks.

Indiana timezone changing
I have a couple questions... I am in Indiana and our time zone is changing. I used to choose America/Indiana/Indianapolis as the zone and we are changing to Eastern. Question 1) Is there a command line only way to change my timezone? I dont have access to X to run system-config-time. Doing a "system-config-time --help" or "system-config-time -h" did not give any information.

Problem with timezone configuration
Hello, I have a problem configuring the timezone on a CentOS 5.5 server. I would like the timezone to be Europe/Paris. I have followed the steps described here: http://www.wikihow.com/Change-the-Timezone-in-Linux I think I have changed the appropriate configuration files ( /etc/localtime, /etc/sysconfig/clock ), but the output of the ?date? command still indicates the timezone is EST. Test migration (IMAP copy) and INTERNALDATE?
We're trying some migration tests ... from CommuniGate to Dovecot. The migration program does an APPEND into the new mailbox: src>: a0 FETCH 2900 (FLAGS INTERNALDATE RFC822.PEEK) src<: * 2900 FETCH (FLAGS (\Seen) INTERNALDATE "29-Aug-2005 18:36:54 +0000" RFC822 {1194157} src<: ) dst>: bAPP APPEND "INBOX" (\Seen) "29-Aug-2005 18:36:54 +0000" {1194157}

dovecot weird bug
Hi, We have a weird bug happening in our dovecot installation. When I send html emails from many clients and compress them, there are no problem. They are opened and correctly formated. When I send an email from Squirrelmail and compress it, dovecot exits with no errors (there are no coredumps or seg fault - dovecot just exits). But the weird is, it just happens when squirrelmail opens an email

What INTERNALDATE does dovecot with mbox storage set on a COPY'd message?
When a message is copied to a folder on dovecot with mbox storage, is the mtime of the saved mbox file set to the time of the save? Or is the mtime set to the Date: field of the source message that is saved? If there is a difference in the behaviour, do someone know the dovecot version number where the change happened? The reason I'm asking is a problem reported on the Gnus imap client in
