Released Sieve v0.1.1 and ManageSieve v0.11.2 for Dovecot v1.2.alpha4
Hello Dovecot users, Since the first release of the new Sieve implementation, not that many bugs were reported. This is probably due to the fact that it is not tried yet by that many people. In the mean time, I did find and fix some more bugs myself, I adapted to changes in Dovecot, wrote some more documentation and started work on the enotify extension. Both Sieve and ManageSieve were changed

Alpha4 pre-release, please upgrade
Please try if http://dovecot.org/nightly/dovecot-latest.tar.gz (or the CVS directly) works with you. I made a lot of changes to dovecot-auth, so I wouldn't want to make alpha4 release without some more testing in different environments. I'll release alpha4 in a few days, but it'll be basically same as this unless more bugs get fixed. Some of the changes include: - IMAP: We might

1.0.alpha4 released
The actual alpha4 release this time. With a few changes since the pre-release. The important changes again: - Default lock_method changed to flock instead of the old fcntl. Solaris users will need to set it back to fcntl. This makes sure that Dovecot's indexes aren't accidentally used with NFS. - IMAP: We might have sent extra EXPUNGE messages when output buffer got full. This could

Performance issues in Alpha4 gone
Hi The performance issues I noticed on my system/setup with Alpha3 seem to be gone with Alpha4. As soon as I installed it I noticed imap seemed more responsive. Just thought I would let the list know. Regards Daniel

v1.1.alpha4 released / about dbox
http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/alpha/dovecot-1.1.alpha4.tar.gz http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/alpha/dovecot-1.1.alpha4.tar.gz.sig Lots of fixes since alpha3. Also includes the dbox rewrite. Currently dbox works properly only in one-message-per-file mode. I'm not actually even sure how good idea it would be to use it with multiple-messages-per-file mode. But I guess it won't hurt to

major pop3+ldap problem with alpha3 and alpha4
hi, For some of our customers we provide a pop3 access, and after an upgrade to alpha3, it is not working anymore. All of our data is ldap based and everything is working as before for our IMAP customers, but our POP3 users fail. Obviously the pop3 login process does not read the data correctly that comes from ldap. after enabling mail_debug, I saw the following error in our log:

alpha4 and zlib-plugin?
Hi, I saw the zlib-plugin reference in the alpha4 ChangeLog notes are searched the list for info about it. The only reference I found was from Timo back in March 2005. Questions: 1) Is this going to become a standard part of version 1.0? 2) Any plans or ability to make it read/write to a gzipped mailbox, or is this possible? Or will it always be read-only? 3) How does a mailbox get gzipped?

Dovecot reports zero messages erroneously
On October 11, Mark Farmer reported a problem about not being able to see new mails. I'm running into the same issue. Even though cur/ and new/ contain messages, Dovecot reports that there aren't any. This problem seemed to start happening in alpha3 (and persists in alpha4). When I revert back to alpha2, the messages show up again. It looks like a problem with the dovecot.index*

Titles in plots overlap
Hi,   I use fCopulae package to draw different graphs of univariate and bivariate skew t.  But the plots titles overlap.  I tried using cex.main, font.main to adjust the size but they still overlaps.  Here is my code: par(mfrow = c(3, 1)) mu = 0 Omega = 1 alpha1 = 0 alpha2 = 1.5 alpha3 = 2 alpha4 = 0.5 Z1 = matrix(dmvst(x, 1, mu, Omega, alpha1, df = Inf), length(x)) Z2 = matrix(dmvst(x, 1, mu,

Updated v1.1 and summer plans
Webmail.us will be sponsoring my Dovecot development for this summer. Other companies are also welcome to participate in the costs. Participation gets you: - listed in Credits in www.dovecot.org - listed in AUTHORS file - you can tell me how you want to use the feature and I'll make sure that it supports it (within reasonable limits) For already implemented v1.1 features, see

Orthogonal Polynomial Regression Parameter Estimation
Dear all, Can any one tell me how can i perform Orthogonal Polynomial Regression parameter estimation in R? -------------------------------------------- Here is an "Orthogonal Polynomial" Regression problem collected from Draper, Smith(1981), page 269. Note that only value of alpha0 (intercept term) and signs of each estimate match with the result obtained from coef(orth.fit). What

Imap logging and inetd
When I ran /usr/local/sbin/dovecot, the variable login_log_format_elements from dovecot.conf was honored. Now when I run /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/imap-login from /etc/inetd.conf, it isn't. How do I get imap-login to write log lines that use login_log_format_elements for the format? This is dovecot-1.2.alpha3 soon to be alpha4. Thanks, Jonathan -------------- next part -------------- A
