SIGBART/SIGSEGV while SELECTing virtual folder
Hello!
I just installed Dovecot's latest nightly build (20081020) and tried the
virtual folder features. I started with a really simple "all" folder:
| # virtual/all
| *
| all
But selecting this folder causes dovecot to panic (in most cases).
While trying to debug this, I got slightly different results and I am
not really sure yet if this is just non-deterministic, depends on

Dovecot 1.2.4 - assertion crash in view_lookup_seq_range
Hi all,
We have a number of machines running Dovecot 1.2.4 that have been assert
crashing occasionally. It looks like it's occurring when the users
expunge their mailboxes, but I'm not sure as I can't reproduce it
myself. The error in the logs is:

Subject: IMAP crash on index
I'm running Dovecot 1.2.15 as an IMAP server on an up-to-date Debian
v6 VM. I've recently upgraded the server from a pretty crusty old
Debian v4 installation, though I don't recall exactly which version of
Dovecot that would have been running. I guess I could try crawling
through the old logs to check if it is likely to be useful. The
upgrade seemed to have gone fine and I've been

Wrong UIDs returned from mailbox_transaction_commit_get_uids()
Hi,
Wrong UIDs are returned from mailbox_transaction_commit_get_uids() in dovecot-1.1.rc3.
The problem is in:
int mailbox_transaction_commit(struct mailbox_transaction_context **t)
{
uint32_t tmp;
return mailbox_transaction_commit_get_uids(t, &tmp, &tmp, &tmp);
}
It should be:

It happens again in same user account, so rebuilding indexes didn't fix it.

AD Users on Linux Laptop
Hai Rowland,
Maybe i didnt understand your reply that well, but why would you change it.
All (linux) users have minimum_uid=1000 and start at 1000.
All (windows) users (samba) are above minimum_uid=1000
So in my optinion, you should not be needed to change this.
Unless your users start below 1000.
Also cat /etc/adduser.conf shows ( For Debian/Buster )
# FIRST_[GU]ID to LAST_[GU]ID

cross platform rsync avz lists all directory names in tree
Hi,
I have tried googling and reading the docs and examples but haven't yet
managed to solve this issue.
rsyncing from Mac OS X to FreeBSD and from Linux to Windows XP, with the
arguments avz I get the same thing in the reports (mailed from cron):

path/to/directories/
path/to/directories/changedfile.txt

dovecot.index.pvt reset
All,
maybe that's a similar issue like the one mentioned in [1],
nevertheless I started a new thread.
Using public folders:
location =
maildir:/var/vmail/public/:LAYOUT=fs:INDEXPVT=%h/.public-indexes
When deleting a public maildir in filesystem (rm -rf ...) and copying
back from backup, it's older than the users' dovecot.index.pvt files.
(%h is in another directory). Then the

dovecot 2.2.13 core dump (signal 11)
We just upgraded from 2.1.16 to 2.2.13. One user is experiencing
problems when using the shared namespace. Specifically it happens when
opening/reading a message and when deleting messages. These functions
work for other users. So far, this appears to be only affecting one user.
The shared folder is a local ext4 file system and utilizes acls

I'm really sorry, but it was a long day yesterday. I forgot to mention
that I used alpine:edge (based on the alpine master branch) image to set
up the build environment. So there were some version changes.

There are several Problems:
- After Reboot winbind seem to start before network is redy, so winbind
can't get user info via getent passwd <username>, after restart winbind
it works
- How can I cache logins infos, for offline login
