fts_squat + virtual => crash
Hi, dovecot's imap process segfaults when I search a virtual mailbox using the fts_squat plugin. Is this supposed to work, or a known bug? I've seen some changes commited to fts_solr a couple of months ago that where supposed to fix search issues on virtual mailboxes, maybe fts_squat needs to be fixed to? log === rawlog ------ 3551 SELECT "INBOX.virtual.unseen" 3552 UID

Acceptable version mismatch between syslinux 6.0N's MBR/ldlinux.sys and *.c32?
Hi there, first, thanks a lot for syslinux! I'm aware that one can't mix syslinux 4's MBR + ldlinux.sys with syslinux 6's COM32R modules. Fair enough. Now, I need to know how strong this "versions *must* match" requirement is when dealing with different versions of syslinux 6.x. E.g. * MBR and ldlinux.sys installed by syslinux 6.03-pre1 * all *.c32 modules

dovcot+offlineimap+gmail: INBOX empty, mail doubled
Hello I have used for years offlineimap-6.2.0 dovecot-imapd 1:1.2.9 in Kubuntu 10.04 Together with a imap server of my university. Yesterday we switched to google, which I know, is not a real imap server. I have 2 problems and the first I think has to do with either an old version of offlineimap or a bad configuration file: - All folders are downloaded+ Gmail[All Mail] so doubling

Solving CVE-2008-4870
Hi, we're trying to solve CVE-2008-4870 = rhbz#436287 = dovecot.conf is world readable - possible password exposure. This problem seems to be little more complicated than we thought. dovecot.conf can contain passphrase for ssl key, which is available for everyone since dovecot.conf has world readable permissions. (In CVE's description is note that it RHEL's/Fedora's problem,

Dovecot LDA, Offlineimap and Sieve
Hi, I am trying to st up Offlineimap to use Dovecots LDA to be able to use Sieve for mail filtering, but am not sure how to get this working. I think the right way would be to use 'preauthtunnel' in .offlineimaprc and try the setup below, which doesn't work. ,----.offlineimaprc | [Repository LocalRepository] | type = IMAP | preauthtunnel = ssh -q localhost

Hi, first, thanks a lot, Ady and Gene, for your prompt and very useful replies! offlineimap with dovecot: file-time is one hour in the future
I use offlineimap to sync my remote IMAP-server with my local IMAP-server (maildir format). But I don't understand this behavior: every new mail in the INBOX has a file-date which is one hour in the future. Is this 'normal'? Is this a problem of offlineimap? I tried this debugging (for dovecot): mail_executable = /usr/lib/dovecot/rawlog /usr/lib/dovecot/imap and this (for offlineimap):

Dovecot setup fails w. multiple mail locations (gnus/dovecot/offlineimap)
Hi, I am trying to setup a Gnus - Dovecot - Offlineimap - Webmail (Gmail / Fastmail) chain and cannot configure the correct behaviour. Any advice to get this working properly would be very appreciated! I have set up Offlineimap to synchronise two mail accounts into separate folders under ~/Maildir. After running Offlineimap, the folders look as below. Maildir/ |-- Gmail | |-- cur | |--

Filtering spam in an offlineimap + dovecot setup
Hello, To easily access my mail both offline on my computer and on my phone, I am synchronizing a local copy on my computer using offlineimap. As the spam filtering options provided on the server are not sufficient, I am now looking into client-side spam filtering. My current setup is as follows. Mail is synchronized using offlineimap, and delivered to a local dovecot server:

Maildir from offlineimap, INBOX folder created
Hi, I'm using dovecot to serve up a Maildir created/served by offlineimap. The layout is typical (as far as I know) of maildirs, with the root folder having cur, tmp, new, and subfolders being a folder within the root folder. Since I'd previously used Evolution to access this maildir, my subfolders were actual subfolders (separator /). Anyway, it all works spiffingly well, except that I

Maildir folders, separator = /, LAYOUT=fs (to support offlineimap)
I use offlineimap to pull down some Gmail mail stores. With offlineimap I use sep = / and nothing more exotic. With dovecot I can see INBOX, messages, and messages in top level folders but not subfolders. I'm dealing with folder structure that looks like this: /opt/gmail/joe/Later /opt/gmail/joe/Tech/Projects /opt/gmail/joe/Tech/Projects/Fun /opt/gmail/joe/Tech/Projects/Failed

dsync in a cronjob to replace offlineimap
Hi list, Replacing offlineimap with dsync for IMAP-to-IMAP synchronization (using dovecot 2.1.7) is working great, but now that I upgraded to 2.2.9 I'd like to take advantage of the incremental replication [1]. I don't think having a separate replicator process & notifications suits my configuration, as I want to sync my server with my laptop which is not always on or might be behind

isohybrid has 2 variants
I'm going to get the hang of this mailing list eventually. Apologies for any duplicate emails.. >Ian Bannerman: >> While I did know the .exe variant was not official / untrusted, >Is there a special reason for this ? (Except the known bugs which affect Linux binaries, too.) Not really. I had never found a convincing source for it and had seen previous list entries like this

offlineimap with dovecot and sieve
I have a dumb question, is it possible to use this combination: Synchronising a remote IMAP-server and a local dovecot-IMAP-server by offlineimap (with both types = IMAP), which works very well. But it seems, that my sieve-scripts on the local dovecot server are not recognised by this combination. Is there a good debugging way for this? -- Dieter Faulbaum Elektronenspeicherring BESSY II

isohybrid and ISO images whose size is not a multiple of 2048 bytes vs. VirtualBox
Hi, at [Tails] we're in the process of shipping hybrid ISO images by default again. We're using `isohybrid -h 255 -s 63' to do that (thanks to the advice we got on this mailing-list a few months ago!). And then, we've discovered that sometimes, isohybrid produces ISO images whose size is not a multiple of 2048 bytes. Who cares? ... may you ask. Well, apparently, VirtualBox does:

Syslinux 6.03 for booting Mac Intels?
Hi, So far I use the official binaries to boot an USB installer in UEFI and BIOS mode. I want to add a (recent) MacBooks target. I know that needs to set up on the device an HFS+ partition with a specific layout, but my question is: do you know if the official binaries: $SYSLINUX_SRC/efi64/efi/syslinux.efi $SYSLINUX_SRC/efi64/com32/elflink/ldlinux/ldlinux.e64 work in that context? Actually, as you may have questions with some elements you'll see in the log, and especially: Detected Syslinux version: 6.03/20150819 (from '/EFI/BOOT/isolinux.bin') So I should point out that EFI/grub is actually used by the tails people to chain load EFI/Syslinux (hence the ldlinux.e64, ldlinux.c32 as well as isolinux.bin one also sees in /efi/boot/). As a result, in the
