sieve/managesieve and spam filtering
Hello all,
I've got a test environment setup in preparation for a move from
qmail/vpopmail/courier to postfix/padmin/dovecot. I have a number of
questions that seem to span multiple pieces of software, and this is one
of them...
Our policy with spam filtering is that a user should be able to turn it
off (ie: not put tagged spam into a spam folder, but deliver to their
inbox) if they

LLVM Social - Beijing: May 19th, 2018
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your response!
Wu Wei made this happen! and he is organizing LLVM social in Shanghai,
Hang Zhou and Shen Zhen. I hope one day there is LLVM developer meeting
in China :)

Hello everybody,
I would like to use managesieve protocol and cmusieve plugin at the same
time.
I have used the cmusieve plugin for years and I now also enabled the
managesieve system. I got the managesieve system working but when I
activate the managesieve filter for the user the cmusieve sieve filter is
not used anymore.

recipient delimiter results in sieve errors
Hello,
I'm using dovecot 1.0.3 and Dovecot Sieve plugin 1.0.2. Sieve script works
fine with normal addresses, like user at domain.., and messages marked with
"X-Spam-Flag: YES" are delivered directly to INBOX.Spam.
To make deliver understand recipient_delimiter I tried two methods, the
first one as per wiki (tweaking postfix master.cf), and the second one by

sievec fails when last line is a comment without trailing \n
Hi,
when switching from Dovecot 1.1 + cmusieve to Dovecot 1.2 + sieve
I stumbled upon the following problem:
My sieve files, generated with Dovecot 1.1's managesieve, did not
compile anymore with sieve's sievec.
The error message was:
error: end of file before end of hash comment.
Looking a bit closer I found that the last line, which was a comment,
did not have a trailing newline.

CMUSieve with virtual users
Hi,
I'm using dovecot 1.1.7 on Gentoo with Postfix and PostfixAdmin to
manage my virtual users.
I'm trying to use sieve (which has been compiled with Dovecot) but it
doesn't work.
I added cmusieve in the lda protocol :
mail_plugins = cmusieve
mail_plugin_dir = /usr/lib/dovecot/lda
My maildir scheme is : /home/vmail/%d/%n/.maildir
The sieve file is in

lda sieve broken after upgrade
upgraded to rc19. using maildirs. solaris 9/cc.
removed all modules from pop/imap/lda subdirs and first upgraded dovecot
to rc19 and then used dovecot-sieve-1.0.1 sources to build against the
dovecot source directory ( everything now builds nicely on Solaris, thank
you Timo ). added "cmusieve" to the list of plugins used by lda.
ail_plugins = cmusieve
now getting this:

trying to make cmusieve happen globally
In Dovecot 1.1.11 cmusieve is apparently integrated in the Ubuntu 9.10
package "dovecot-common" since the files are there. I am wanting to
right now just do a very basic test of the setup to see how it runs
before doing more sophisticated steps that could obscure any errors or
bugs (e.g. unit testing).
So I took the following example sieve script from the wiki1 documentation:

RadRails Broke with 1.8.4 / 1.1
I''ve been using the radrails eclipse plugin with ruby 1.0 & Rails 1.8.2
up until this morning... I just installed Ruby 1.8.4 (one-click
installer rc1) and Rails 1.1. Now the rails eclipse plugin does not
seem to be aware of how to run ruby and has lost the ability to start
the webrick server. I''m sure it''s a simple configuration issue but the

Hello Dovecot users,

The main reason for rewriting the Sieve engine is to provide more
reliable script execution and to provide better error messages to users
and system administrators. Also, since the Sieve language evolves
