Authentication problems
Hi there, I'm in a bit of a dilemma and wonder if anyone can help. Over the weekend I bought a new dedicated server and moved my mail/web over to it. I'd used the Sarge[1] tutorial at workaround.org for the old server and as I'd wanted to move to Dovecot for a while I decided to use their Etch[2] tutorial for the new one. For the most part everything's working nicely, but I seem

Tilde expansion in ManageSieve for dovecot-1.1.
Greetings all, I'll skip the details of the setup, except to say that it has a non-standard (and non-templateable) home directory path for virtual users. Ran into the following problem when a debian (possibly from backports) packaged dovecot-1.1.2 was upgraded to a dovecot-1.1.13-2~bpo50+1 (definately from backports): sieve-storage: root directory specified by mail data does not exist:

docecot managesieve global filter, service name
I do have two questions related to the managesieve setup in dovecot 1) I did setup a global sieve filter, that is invoked if a user has no other sieve filter. If a user installs a sieve filter and activates it (PUTSCRIPT, SETACTIVE) then the sieve filter gets compiled (.sievec) and deliver does use it. If I want to deactivate the filter (SETACTIVE "") only the symlink (to the .sieve

v1.1.7 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/dovecot-1.1.7.tar.gz http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/dovecot-1.1.7.tar.gz.sig I should have released this earlier since v1.1.6 had that annoying startup problem, but surprisingly few people complained about it so I kind of forgot about it then. BTW. v1.2 progresses nicely. Now that shared mailboxes are finally fully supported, there aren't any widely used IMAP

ManageSieve SECURITY hole: virtual users can edit scripts of other virtual users (all versions)
Hello, While updating the ManageSieve implementation to the latest draft specification I noticed a major omission in the way script names are handled. Essentially, script names are directly appended to the sieve storage directory path and suffixed with '.sieve'. This does not take the use of '../' in script names into account. Therefore, clever virtual users that know the

rjs woes, any hints?
I''ve pared my rjs experiment down to what seems a bare minimum. When I click on my link_to_remote, the rjs executes, returns the correct javascript to the browser, but it doesn''t update the div I''ve specified. What appears to be coming back from the controller is: Element.update("my_form", "hello, rjs"); I''m tearing my hair out.

Newbie woes with par:mar
I have a simple barchart with horizontal bars and horizontal tick labels, produced with barplot(x, horiz = T, names.arg = c, las = 1) The labels are longish strings, truncated on the plot. I wish to leave more space for the left margin, and experiment with mar parameter, barplot(x, horiz = T, names.arg = c, las = 1, mar = c(5, 15, 4, 2)) trying various values for the second vector element, but

ifelse() woes ... can we agree on a ifelse2() ?
Related to the length of 'ifelse' result, I want to say that "example of different return modes" in ?ifelse led me to perceive a wrong thing in the past. ## example of different return modes: yes <- 1:3 no <- pi^(0:3) typeof(ifelse(NA, yes, no)) # logical typeof(ifelse(TRUE, yes, no)) # integer typeof(ifelse(FALSE, yes, no)) # double As

partition woes (mapper/isw_bdihgcgahe_Volume0p2)
Hi, I found 2 identical drives lying around and put them into a system. When booting from a Centos 5.x installer, and when being presented with the formatting option (disk druid), it says I have 1 volume of; mamapper/isw_bdihgcgahe_Volume0p2 I can't seem to get rid of it. I have 2 physical disks but disk druid is seeing 1 volume thats the same size as one of the 2 identical drives.
