postfix + amavisd-new
I've been following the instrunctions in <http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Amavisd> for installing Amavisd, Clamav and SpamAssassin on top of postfix/dovecot . Dovecot is working fine, but I want to deal with spam email. (I am using sendmail/dovecot with procmail and spamassassin on another server, but decided to go over to postfix on this server when I saw it is now the CentOS default.)

Working with PAM stages
Hi, I?m trying to develop a PAM module with OpenSSH, and I realized I need to retrieve something in a later stage that was saved in another previous stage. As far as my tests on OpenSSH 7.6 go, the password auth route goes through PAM auth, account, session, and the session stage is in a different UNIX process from the process where auth and account take place. For the key auth route, auth stage

[PATCH] implementation of getpeereid() for Solaris
hi, Solaris doesn't have getpeereid() or SO_PEERCRED. However, getpeerucred() is perfectly usable for that; and it's in Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris. So, ssh-agent(1) security there so far depends only on permissions of the socket directory and with this patch it checks peer's credentials, too. I patched following files using a snapshot from 20060921: openssh/config.h.in

Windows 10 anniversary update (1607) causing profile sync errors
Hello folks, We have some machines that have updated to the Windows 10 anniversary update (1607) that are having roaming profile sync problems. Before I search the event logs or provide details, has anyone experience profile sync wierdness? They changed the profile version again... in 1511 it is version 5, in 1607 it is now version 6. Thank You! -- Luc Lalonde, analyste

Question About Dynamic Remote Forwarding
Hi all, When a client requests dynamic remote forwarding with -R it delays forking into the background. In ssh.c we see if (options.fork_after_authentication) { if (options.exit_on_forward_failure && options.num_remote_forwards > 0) { debug("deferring postauth fork until remote forward " "confirmation received");

Tru64 privsep patch testing
OK, I got a chance to try out the Tru64 patch for privsep. I applied the patch to 3.4p1. Partial success, in that it now works for me for logins to "root". Logins to ordinary accounts fail after authentication, when trying to set tty characteristics. See the excerpt from the debug messages below. This is for Tru64 V4.0F (with enhanced_security turned on, obviously.) I guess it's time

problem connecting to shares from Win7 clients - invalid NTLMSSP_MIC
Domain users using Windows 7 systems lose the ability to connect to Samba shares. Some users can connect one day but then lose the ability the next. When the problem starts to occur the log.smbd displays: =============================================== check_ntlm_password: authentication for user [user1] -> [user1] -> [MYDOMAIN\user1] succeeded ntlmssp_server_postauth: invalid

PA-168(S) - Netweb IPweb-301 Phone
Greetings, I just received some netweb-301 phones frm Seshu down in NJ. I cannot for the life of me get it to register with the asterisk server, nor upgrade the firmware to the latest (1.41) i'm still using 1.37. The packets are traversing the router, going into the other subnet, hitting the asterisk box, but not actually making it to asterisk. Nothing in the asterisk logs, but tcpdump

GrandStream Budgetone Phone & DHCP & General Observations
Symptom: Phone after about 15mins will stop functioning Problem: DHCP lease renewed but default route dropped Fix: Assign a static ip and problem is resolved. Upgrade to new firmware once it is released It turn's out that these phones have a few issue in 1.0.3.81 firmware. The phone may stop transmitting packets if configured with DHCP, if DHCP is being provided by certain devices. Netopia

Windows 10 anniversary update (1607) causing profile sync errors
Hello, Strangely, the profile sync error is gone now on that machine. But just to be safe, we're rejecting the 1607 updates with our WSUS. It will give me more time to investigate the problem. We'll probably sticking with 1511 in our teaching labs until summer 2017. Sorry I can't help more... Cheers, Luc. Le 2016-09-19 16:30, Bob of Donelson Trophy via samba a écrit : > On

[PATCH]rtc emulation for xenU
There''s an issue on x86_64 whereby booting an unpriv guest using a kernel that has the RTC driver compiled in hangs when the rc scripts run the command hwclock. The patch attached resolves the issue. The patch adds a simple rtc emulation and also on i386, hwclock can get correct date when xenU enabled pirq binding, without this patch, hwclock read will timeout because of lack of update
