Different LDAP filters for different protocols
Is it possible to query LDAP differently for different protocols? I am using dovecot for both pop3/imap and lmtp deliveries and there are different enable flags in ldap for them. I tried wrapping user_filter inside the protocols in the file dovecot-ldap.conf.ext as shown below but this didn't seem to work. protocol lmtp { user_filter =

Require different setting for mail_location for each of POP3S and IMAPS protocols
Okay, Let's try this a different way. I've been able to configure past dovecot to have a different mail_location setting for the same user, but with different protocols. When the user requests POP3S, I adjusted the mail_location to /var/mail/$USER (with mbox in use). When that *same* user requested IMAPS protocol, the required mail_location is the Maildir folder. This allows for

Specify auth service for protocols
Hi all, I'm building a mail system where two machines are functioning both as POP3/IMAP-proxy (using dovecot 1.2.12) and SMTP-server with authentication for outgoing mail. The SMTP-server is postfix with dovecot SASL as authentication backend. User credentials for SMTP auth as well as the mapping from account to final server for the proxy is stored in a MySQL-database which dovecot queries.

Different settings for SSL/non-SSL protocols
Good time of the day! It is possible to setup dovecot with different requirements for SSL and non-SSL protocols? What would I like to do: pop3/imap non-SSL = allowed plain text authentication. pop3/imap with SSL = allowed plain text authentication with required valid SSL certificates. I need to allow access from any IP address for first group of users, which have valid SSL certificates. And

lose focus event?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I''m new to wxruby, and I haven''t found any answer with google: Is there a way to capture a lose focus event on controls, such as a combo box? All my experiments show events when changing the text, but not when leaving the box. I want to make a combobox that autocompletes if I press tab (or down arrow or something), but if I

is EXT3 data=journal, 2K block size, 2.5 series kernel stable?
A while back, after 2.5.6, there were various changes made to the kernel that resulted in some instability with journaled data on ext3 filesystems, as well as small issues with my 2k block size file systems. Can someone (say, Andrew Morton ;) comment on the stability of the current release with this sort of configuration? If it's not full of known bugs then I will give it another shot, but I

RCMD for Windows
Trying to use rcmd in our Windows environment to launch tasks on remote servers. We are using the job scheduler from Tidal corporation. The problem is the return code that's coming back to the job scheduler,Tidal, is from the RCMD NOT from the tasks that it launched. We need to get the return code from the task that was launched via rcmd. Help Lou Zollo Production Control Manager

On very different journalling activity on 2 servers.
Hello Folks, We have 2 (identical hardware) busy public 2U rack servers, both have several hundred users & peak email (for example) deliveries at 300/5min during the daytime. Both servers run RAID1 over 2 EIDE disk drives. One server is fine - it never has problems - it is running RH7.3 and CPU loads are normal. The other server has constant disk activity & kjournald at CPU load of

Joining a trusted domain
Hello, I've come across a fairly unique situation and after much searching have not found a solution. I thought I would see if anyone here has had any experience with this before. I have a location with two ADS domains with a two-way trust configured. -For this example I will call them corp.company.com and bst.company.com. -I have a FreeBSD client running Samba version three -I want to

Bad directories appearing in ext3 after upgrade 2.4.16 -> 2.4.18+cvs
Hi, I recently upgraded one of my fileservers from 2.4.16 to 2.4.18 plus the ext3-cvs.patch that Andrew Morton pointed me to for addressing and assertion failure. Since then I have been getting lots of errors like: May 21 14:07:03 glass kernel: EXT3-fs error (device md(9,0)): ext3_add_entry: bad entry in directory #2945366: rec_len %% 4 != 0 - offset=0, inode=1886221359, rec_len=24927,

[PATCH] mm/page_poison: move PAGE_POISON to page_poison.c
The PAGE_POISON macro is used in page_poison.c only, so avoid exporting it. Also remove the "mm/debug-pagealloc.c" related comment, which is obsolete.
