icecast2/ices2 don't work for iOS?
Hello
I hope this question is okay:
I have set up a radio with icecast2 and ices2. Everything works. I can
access it from

and?

I can listen to my radio in RadioDroid on my android phone, and I can
listen via

Wrong url's from ezstream/icecast
I run two streams from ezstream via Icecast2 - one over http and one
over https.
In the ezstream config file I have defined two servers (http and https)
and the two streams point to the different servers (by their names).
But, if I go to the following two url's, Icecast report same (http-)
'streaming url' for both:

Thank you VERY much! It would have taken me days, if not weeks, to come
up with that solution. I haven't

mediaplayer for icecast streams?
Here's an example with vanilla JS (attached). I had a test file lying around and swapped your info in. You can change setInterval() to fetch as often as you like (1000 = 1 second).

No joy for newbie Capistrano user
Hello,
I tried taking Capistrano out for a test drive and I can''t even get out of
the garage.
I am following the instructions here:

As well as Duncan Davidson''s Deploying Rails with Lighty:

Dedicated Firewall/Router
Hi All,
I want to build a dedicated firewall/router as I am launching a NPO and I can host this in my garage. (Comcast offered me a 100 x 20 circuit for $99/mo with 5 statics)
I used to run Untangle, but as of version 9, you are forced to use their build in protocol policies versus the firewalling I am used to (Deny All and then opening holes for specific IP's, etc).
There are so many

Looking for inexpensive phone to use with Asterisk with message light and a button that will let me play new messages
I'm wanting to have a phone at home next to the garage door that when my
bride comes home, she can see that there is a new message, push a button
and have the messages played to her. Otherwise, she will not let me
install asterisk on my home line.
Can someone suggest relatively inexpensive hardware that will do this
for me (us)?
Thanks,

I recommend you to, then. Most of your arguments are similar to
David's and they don't take into account the difficulty in maintaining
non-x86 buildbots.

[LLVMdev] 1.9 Prerelease Available for Testing (TAKE TWO)
Hi Tanya,
Here's my second attempt on Fedora Core 5. The changes this time are:
1. Using GCC 4.0.3 as the compiler
2. Building everything from source (no pre-built binaries used)
BUILD LLVM WITH GCC 4.0.3
* No issues, just the usual warnings.
BUILD LLVM-GCC WITH GCC 4.0.3
* No issues
RUN LLVM-TEST WITH GCC 4.0.3
* The following failures were encountered. Some of them are

[LLVMdev] 1.9 Prerelease Available for Testing
Tanya,
Here's the results for GNU/Linux, 2.6.18-1.2200.fc5smp (Fedora Core 5)
HIGH LEVEL COMMENTS
* The llvm-1.9.tar.gz file unpacks to a dir named "llvm". Shouldn't
that be llvm-1.9?
* LLVM was built in Release mode in all cases
* I don't think this is ready for release. In particular the llvm-gcc4
binary
seg faults on FC 5 for most of llvm-test programs.

Call for review: restricted hardlinks.
Hi.
I've no response from so@ in this topic, probably because leak of time,
so I'll try here.
Here is a patch that I'm planing to commit:
http://people.freebsd.org/~pjd/patches/restricted_hardlinks.patch
It adds two new sysctls:
security.bsd.hardlink_check_uid
security.bsd.hardlink_check_gid
If sysctl security.bsd.hardlink_check_uid is set to 1, unprivileged users

[OT] Shell host
Off topic for a sec - I noticed a few users in the mailing list were
from Germany. Do any of you (or anyone else) have a recommendation for
a hosting provider in Germany (that speaks English) and provides SSH
access to the vhost? (or it could simply be a shell account plan). It''s
for some network monitoring needs (no, it''s not spam :) ). Needs to be
reliable (i.e. not a garage

Regression Tree Questions
Hi All,
I'm a newbie and have two questions. Please pardon me if they are very basic.
1. I'm using a regression tree to predict the selling prices of 10 new records (homes). The following code is resulting in an error message: pred <- predict(model, newdata = outOfSample[, -6])
The error message is:

All,
are there any plans to allow FreeBSD jails to bind to more than one IP

My scenario (virtual hosting) :
3 front-end hosts with 2 interfaces each, one on the public network, the
other on a private subnet.
1 back-end host, providing NFS mounts for the front-ends.
This scenarion is not uncommon in ISP environments, usually with a big

jails, ipfilter & stunnel
I'm setting up a server where I plan to use Jails to improve security
I also have installed and am configuring ipfilter. Here are my
questions:
Because I'm using Jails, I will have to have multiple ip aliases on the
network interface. I will use ipfilter to specify what can go to each
of the addresses. (e.g., allow only incoming to port 80 on the jail
running apache).

Samba3.0.1pre3 LDAP Login problem

Here are some infos about the server

It went well and every user is in the DB, including the
