2x2 Contingency table with much sampling zeroes
Hi, I'm analyzing experimental results where two different events ("T1" and "T2") can occur or not during an experiment. I made my experiments with one factor ("Substrate") with two levels ("Sand" and "Clay"). I would like to know wether or not "Substrate" affects the occurrence probability of the two events. Moreover, for each

How to set Subnet in a node which act as both server and client role?
Hi, Etienne I took a look for the below host configuration parameter (IndirectData), the default is no. For the below example: A ConnectTo B, B ConnectTo C: If IndirectData = no (default), then A wouldn’t establish direct connection with C, but will be forwarded by B. If IndirectData = yes, then A will try to establish direct connection with C, even though A don’t have the statement of

How to set Subnet in a node which act as both server and client role?
Hi, Etienne In addition, is there any option or switch can turn of the automatic direct connection? For the example below, even A has the route to C and can establish UDP connection directly, but I need the traffic to go through B, how can I achieve that easily? (instead of remove something from A’s routing table, or manually block the connection between A and C) > On 1 May 2017, at 6:28 PM,

Administrator account samba-3.0alpha21 and LDAP
Hi! I am setting up a test bed for Samba PDC + LDAP. I used the 3.0alpha21 rpm for RH8 from samba.org. The setup is working. Win9x client can login no problem. I was wondering how I should setup an "Administrator" account for the domain. Right now, my plan is to have samba authenticate only to the ldap backend ("passdb backend = ldapsam" only). Does the administrator

.msi installation failed - need help!
Hi, I'm trying to install the PRIMER v6 software (a statistical software). I have bought a licence. I'm running under Ubuntu 8.10. I have Wine 1.1.19 and have installed sucessfully .NET 2.0 framework on it. Installation of PRIMER starts well, but after entering my serial key number I click 'Next' and nothing happens. It seems that the error is with handling the serial key number

code for sum function
Dear Tomas, Where do I find these files? Do they contain the code for the sum function? What do you mean exactly with your point on long doubles? Where can I find documentation on this? Negatives density values (PR#8876)
Full_Name: Cuvelier Etienne Version: R version 2.2.1 OS: Windows XP Submission from: (NULL) (81.240.71.204) If we use the "density" function "far" from the data, some values are negatives. I know that these value of the density are "near equal" to zero, but the change of sign can involve some "false" decision. Here is an example of this fact: > x =

Specifically: https://svn.r-project.org/R/trunk/src/main/summary.c And if you don't want to deal with Subversion, you can look at the read-only github mirror: https://github.com/wch/r-source/blob/e5b21d0397c607883ff25cca379687b86933d730/src/main/summary.c#L115-L131 On Thu, Feb 21, 2019 at 11:57 AM David Winsemius <dwinsemius at comcast.net> wrote: > > > On 2/20/19 2:55 PM,

LocalDiscovery flip flopping and network design tips
@Etienne, I understood your explanation about the Subnet being the network *inside* the VPN, but the following the example https://www.tinc-vpn.org/examples/proxy-arp/, it seems to have: Subnet = 192.168.1.0/24 for the office, yet the IP address for the office is 192.168.1.2. Is that example no longer valid or am I misunderstanding? On Tue, Feb 14, 2017 at 4:01 PM, James Hartig <james at

Switchtower deployment
Hi, Has anyone experiences using SwitchTower (Windows) in a shared hosting environment (Textdrive)? I already patched the SwitchTower rake tasks (I don''t know if someone is interested on it), but i still experience some problems (not in the sudoers list, ...). Thank you for answer (and thank you to the textdrive guys, i never had a such fast support!) -- Jean-Etienne Durand

Questions on ActiveRecord implementation
Hi, I got several questions on AR adapters implementation: 1. For SqlServer/Oracle, SQL queries are built by concatenation, and there is no use of parameters. Especially for Oracle, this is very bad, no optimization can be done. Is there a reason for that? Does anybody plan to fix that? 2. When updating a model, _all_ columns are updated. Why not only the diff is updated? Using blob/cblob, it

(Universal) Ambisonic implementation
Hi Flac Developers, My name is Etienne Deleflie, I'm the founder of http://www.ambisonia.com and, more recently, http://soundofspace.com. Myself and the community I serve are looking for a lossless file format that can encapsulate ambisonic encoding. To this end a specification has been drafted, and is nearing stability, that describes practical features designed to get the most out of

Does anybody know, if it is possible to rotate an axis, created with the command axis(), about for instance 60 degrees? I'm looking foward to any ideas and hints and want to wish everybody a merry merry christmas. Thanks in advance. Etienne Stockhausen

Host not reachable over UDP
You might want to try with https://github.com/gsliepen/tinc/pull/120 - that said, this bug probably doesn't explain everything because tinc is supposed to log a message from setup_vpn_in_socket() anyway, but there's no such message in your log. In addition, I really don't see any way the "Received UDP packet from unknown source" message could be logged if the UDP socket

How to compare parameters of non linear fitting curves
Hi, I'm using a non linear model to fit experimental survival curves. This model describes the fraction of "still active" experiments as a function of time t as follows: f(t)=(1+exp(-etaD*cD)) / (1+exp(etaD(t-cD))) Moreover, when experiments are still active, they may change of state (from 0 to 1). But they may fall inactive before changing their state (their state still

Generating RTF documents?
Hi, I need to implement some RTF export for a customer. According to some "templates", i generate RTF documents, filling data coming from models. It''s pretty much like a mailmerge, but in *nix/ruby world. Also, customer would like (in the future) to upload himself the templates, so he can modify them by his own. Can anyone advice me on an elegant solution? Thank you,
