Postfix: Command died with status 89: "/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver"
One of our servers running Dovecot 1.0.beta3 and dovecot-lda has
failed to deliver a few messages and I can't figure out why. Very few
messages bounce and I don't see any common thread between them other
than time. The 15:19:11 message was a company wide announcement and
the other 4 servers (identical configuration) were able to deliver it.

2.3.11.3: dsync failure
Hello!
dovecot 2.3.11.3 fails to backup/sync my mailbox. The mailbox is
currently in mdbox format and is (mostly) lz4-compressed. See the trace
below (I've added newlines to the output):

zlib maildir reindex broken
I posted to the list about this a while ago but never got a response, I have a bit more information now.
Dovecot 2.2.12 and other 2.2 versions are broken when using zlib and maildir. If messages are re-indexed, the INTERNALDATE of all messages is set to the time the re-index is done.
The problem seems to be in src/plugins/zlib/zlib-plugin.c in the function zlib_mail_cache_open.

Cannot delete subfolder in public folder
Hi there,
I have the problem that I'm unable to delete a subfolder (again) I
created within a public folder.
I've already read about configuring Thunderbird to delete immediately -
which I did. But it still doesn't work.
I delete -> the folder is gone -> I get a TB error message saying "The
folder doesn't exist" -> after restarting TB the folders appear again.

maildir compressed message fix patch
When a compressed maildir message has a bad S= size in its filename it puts the user in an unrecoverable state, since maildir's do_fix_size function just does a stat() on the maildir file and saves the compressed size in the filename.
This (quick, rough, barely tested) patch addresses this issue, it's inefficient, but we're already in a hopefully rare emergency situation.

shared mailbox - namespace
Hi all,
this is my last try to get help before giving up. I red the dovecot-wiki
several times, but it doesn?t work.
I don?t know what?s wrong. If I open thunderbird I see the folder
"public" but I cannot subscribe it.
I have dovecot 1.0.10. Yes it?s a little bit old but it is the latest
version under debian packages.

I'm setting up dovecot pop3 deamon for a small set of mailbox.
I want to be able to set a small set of mailbox simply, so I've used
"passdb passwd-file" + virtual mailboxes with "userdb static".
My problem is that it seems that postfix accept and create mailbox for
every address I post. It is configured to use local delivery through
dovecot's deliver.
