Paid summer project: advanced integration of Xapian into MoinMoin wiki
Dear list readers,
I just wanted to tell that the MoinMoin wiki project is taking part in Google's
"Summer of Code 2006" and one of the project students might get paid for an
advanced integration of Xapian into MoinMoin wiki, exploiting what Xapian can do.
Required: you must be a university student, have Xapian knowledge and know
Python (MoinMoin is coded in Python).
You will have

Russian wiki
The top menu bar has now language dependent settings. If I click Russian
wiki from Front Page, the menu still English. Should I add russian links (
as HowTo, Tips&Tricks etc) into Russian Front Page to allow Russian users
open this pages on the native language?

Disabling automatic links for mixed case in MoinMoin
Hi,
I would like to request to disable the behaviour where MoinMoin
automatically create a link for a mixed case word like NetworkManager.
Is that possible ?
Also, where are we regarding the external link icon (globe) ? Did anyone
object for using the one from trac ?

MoinMoin rpm
I see we are using MoinMoin on the CentOS wiki.
Is there an rpm available for this?
I'd like to install it on either a CentOS 3 or CentOS 4 system.

Dovecot Wiki
I finally got around to cleaning up the MoinMoin pages out of it and
added a link to it from main page. I also got dovecot.fi domain, so
Dovecot pages can be accessed from http://www.dovecot.fi/ and Wiki is
at http://wiki.dovecot.fi/

wiki -> txt
I've been trying to fix MoinMoin's text_plain formatter to produce
readable output. It's almost correct, except I don't understand why I
can't get the LF-adding rules correct. Either there are too many LFs or
too few. And whenever I change something, something else breaks.. It's
getting pretty annoying.
So if anyone else wants to try getting it fixed that'd be great.

raw text Access for http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories, Please.
Oops, I copied the page with the acl of the original page, which, of
course, means I can't edit it. Lesson learned, I hope.
Could you please fix the acl so I may proceed with my edit? Sorry to be
such a bother. I'm more used to working on Wikimedia wiki's. My MoinMoin
skills are rusty.

Testing Wiki migration - asking for testers
Hi nice people interested in CentOS Docs and wiki !
There were already threads about migrating the wiki to something else
(mediawiki, $other), or staying with moinmoin (what we now have in place).
This mail isn't about that thread (but feel free to start a new one
about that possible migration or not), but about just migrating the
current moinmoin instance from the current machine to a new

Excellent. Thank you; a most useful option of the MoinMoin wiki.

The mirroring setup is finished. There's a master server now handling
dovecot.org and a mirror server handling www/hg/wiki. Would be nice to
get another reliable fast mirror server if someone wants to donate
one :) Requirements are:

Mailing list / dovecot.org down this weekend
Apparently the building where dovecot.org server is located will lose
its electricity for something like 9-26 hours this weekend. During
this time the mailing list will be down, but the web, hg and wiki will
be available in another server. (Well, the wiki depends on if I can
get moinmoin fixed on the server.)

lowering the barriers for wiki.centos.org
Hi folks,
What would it take to make it easier for users to sign up and
immediately start contributing to the wiki without having their
accounts approved by hand?
I'd like to host more documentation for the storage SIG there, and I
want to make it easier for other users to contribute without the
manual gating process.
For example, today anyone can sign up for a GitHub account to edit

Dovecot v2.0 wiki
I forked the wiki to
http://wiki1.dovecot.org/ is the old docs for v1.x
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/ is the new docs for v2.0
For now wiki.dovecot.org points to wiki1, but once v2.0 is released I'll
change it to point to wiki2. I symlinked the user directory, so users
should stay synced between the wikis.
The main reason for wiki2 is to be able to describe Dovecot v2.0's
actual behavior

How to put always visible links on a multi-language wiki
In a multi-language way, if we put the main pages on the navigation
bar (navibar) which one we'll chose to put on?, Ex. If we want the
Documentation page be always visible to users, no matter where they
are on the wiki, we can put it on the navibar (as Ralph already
mentioned) to make it always accessible. So, in our new structure
(move English pages to en/, Spanish to es/, and so on) the
