XFS tree quota and samba free space report
greetings,
does anyone know, if it is possible to propagate somehow the XFS
"directory tree quota" status to SMB workstation client free space
report? currently the client sees total free space of share's partition
(instead of tree quota free space). when the tree quota limit is
reached, the write attempts fail, but free space report shows enough
space, so this is confusing. I

xfs quota question
Can I go to an existing xfs file system, and apply a soft quota to each
user on it? If I do, can I then run a report, and see who's using how
much, or does it only apply to files created after the quotas are applied?

xfs quota weirdness
Hi all,
I have a quota problem with xfs (xfsprogs 3.1.7+b1 on debian GNU/Linux 7
-- wheezy) and samba-4.1.19.
If I set a user quota to say 10GB, windows explorer reports a 20GB quota
of which none used.
If I change quota to x, windows explorer reports 2x space of which none
used.
So I assume samba is somehow getting (albeit incomplete and incorrect)
xfs quota info from operating system.

Quota (and disk usage) is incorrectly reported on nfs client mounting XFS filesystem
hi all,
I hope you can help me with a strange quota/nfs/XFS behavior...
I'm using Centos 5.6 on both a nfs server and client. Both are
64-bit, and using a recent kernel:
NFS server:
Linux fs2.priv 2.6.18-238.12.1.el5 #1 SMP Tue May 31 13:22:04 EDT 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
NFS client:
Linux nx8.priv 2.6.18-238.12.1.el5 #1 SMP Tue May 31 13:22:04 EDT 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64

EL7: Detecting FS errors on XFS while mounted
Is there a way of checking an XFS filesystem for clean/dirty status while
mounted?
One of the checks we've long performed is an FS-level error check. This is
*not a full-on fsck*, this is "asking the file system if it noted any
problems". This is done while the file system is mounted and "hot". For
example, here's how we'd check an ext* partition:
# debugfs

disk quotas + centos 5,5 +xfs
Hi all,
is any one aware quotas not working in 5,5?
I'm using XFS as a file system.
My fstab has the appropriate usrquota,grpquota but when I try to run;
quotacheck -cug /foo
I get;
quotacheck: Can't find filesystem to check or filesystem not mounted
with quota option.
I already have a large amount of data in the mount. Do quotas get
implemented on only empty filesystems and

Hi dovecot-comminity,
can't get iterate_query working. doveadm cannot find mail_location
which comes from userdb query. dovecot itself works fine with sql.

Possible issue with XFS Quotas and 3.0.22
Hi,
We use XFS, Samba and Quotas. Until now, we haven't had any issues with
Samba versions up to 3.0.13. But we are testing Samba 3.0.22 and
noticing that when we set group quotas on XFS volumes, the quotas are
NOT getting reflected on Windows XP workstations when you look at the
"Properties" of a Samba share. With 3.0.13 and below, the group quotas
come through fine. In both

Yes, or, add another block of lines with lo (or lo0) depending on what your kernel uses for loopback in place of the $egress_int parameter to get it to listen on 127.0.0.1 as well.

XFS Group Quotas Revisited
I wrote into the list a few days ago about XFS Group Quotas not working
in Samba 3.0.21c and 3.0.22. I have confirmed that if I uninstall
3.0.22 and reinstall 3.0.13, when I change an XFS group quota on Linux
and mount a share that belongs to that group, if I look at the
"Properties" for that share in Windows, Windows tells me that the "size"
of the share is equal to the

xfs quota support
Hello,
quota support is out of action on xfs filesystem on my centos 4.x .
Problem is that i haven't these file #include <linux/dqblk_xfs.h> on my
system.
Solution is simple. After instalation xfsprogs-devel you get necessary
files, but you must use another header file in
dovecot/src/plugins/quota/quota-fs.c. Instead <linux/dqblk_xfs.h> you
should use <xfs/xqm.h>.

Odd issue with XFS quotas reporting 8192.0EB in use
Hi All,
I have this very odd issue where after a migration we have some users who have quotas showing 8192.0EB in use, when in reality on disk there is only a couple hundred megabytes.
The host in question is a:
* CentOS 6.3 host with mostly latest patches (except latest glibc patches)
* running in SELinux Enforcing mode (Permissive doesn't seem to help)
* all file systems are on Logical

Then you need to look at the opensmtpd logs to figure out why the starttls is failing.

quota on xfs on lvm doesn't work(?)
Hi,
I have a strange problem with user quotas enabled on a xfs filesystem
and samba 3.0.21c: When a standard block device (e.g. /dev/sdc1) is used
for the fs, quota works like expected:
/dev/sdc1 on /mnt/tmp type xfs (rw,usrquota)
