Convert to DBox
I am thinking of trying out dbox format. I am currently using maildir. Is it possible for me to switch just one user account to dbox while keeping all of my other users on maildir? If so, how would I go about doing that? Here is a copy of my dovecot -n: # 1.2.5: /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.30-1-amd64 x86_64 Debian squeeze/sid ext3 base_dir: /var/run/dovecot/ protocols: imap

Squat Indexing
I tried Squat indexing on my very small home system and when I did a body search in Thunderbird, I got a TON, and I mean TON, of these messages in my log file: Mar 6 06:13:31 apple dovecot: child 14142 (imap) killed with signal 6 Mar 6 06:13:31 apple dovecot: IMAP(jeff): file file-lock.c: line 112: unreached Mar 6 06:13:31 apple dovecot: IMAP(jeff): Raw backtrace: imap [0x482771] ->

Received Dates/Squirrelmail
I am trying to figure out an issue I have with the e-mails in my inbox showing up in Squirrelmail. I sometimes get (more often than I care for it to happen) e-mails which show up as new either many hours ago or days ago. I have one particular e-mail that in Squirrelmail is showing a data of Tue, 8:23PM. The received header of that e-mail shows: Received: from murphy.debian.org

Corrupted Index Cache
I am starting to use Squirrelmail a little bit more to read my mail during the day and I seem to be getting this error more frequently while using Squirrelmail. Just a coincidence or do you think using Squirrelmail might have something to do with it? Corrupted index cache file /home/vmail/jeff/dovecot.index.cache: record points outside file I am using Squirrelmail, IMAPProxy, and Dovecot

Setup Question
I really want to try and get this plus addressing working correctly with Dovecot and Postfix. After doing some reading I think I am going to change my Postfix setup from mailbox_command to mailbox_transport. I have a few questions to make sure I am thinking correctly. All of my users are system users. Their mail is delivered directly to their "/home/<user>/Maildir"

processor affinity
Hello, i am running CentOS 5.4. i have a requirement where i need to have 1 application have a single processor all to its self, and the rest of the system run on the other processors. "taskman" lets me bind the process to a processor(s), but it does not make it exclusive. Is this possible to do? i have even tried mucking around with the rc.sysinit, but to no avail. thank you very

1.1Beta5 Issue
I installed 1.1Beta 5 this weekend. I had no problems at all yesterday using Thunderbird. I started reading my mail with Squirrelmail this morning and everything was going pretty smooth. I tried to delete a daily e-mail I receive from careerbuilder.com and the IMAP process shot up to 99.9% and I was not able to do anything in Squirrelmail. I killed that process and tried it again just to be

Is Rails on GoDaddy worth the hassle?
I have been trying to evaluate GoDaddy hosting for RoR. Quite frustrating and painful to date. I have setup a database and uploaded a test app (depot from AEDWR2). Best results to date - ''Internal Server Error''. The log reports ''mod_rewrite: maximum number of internal redirects reached''. ''RewriteOptions MaxRedirects=20'' doesn''t help. I

GoDaddy royally screws over aussievoip.com.au and soft-swtich.org
Well, I wake up this morning, and aussievoip isn't up. I ring godaddy, who _were_ hosting it, and they say that the machine's been compromised, and you can't have your data. Nyah Nyah. I spent 1 hour and 38 minutes on the phone to them, trying to convince them to let me somehow get access to it, but to no avail. I've reported it to the Australian Federal Police High-Tech Crime

Case insensitive user names
I am trying to set up the Dovecot pop3 server for some virtual hosting I am doing and it is going well, I am generating a passwd file that points dovecot to the virtual users mailspool. The only thing that I don't have working is that my current pop3 server (NTMail) has case insensitve usernames. Dovecot doesn't. I was hoping there was just an option to turn on, but I didn't see

can't use godaddy SSL cert
Hey list, I was having a similar SSL/openLDAP problem to this last week. I had a chance to look at this again today and it still appears to not be working. I called godaddy and had the last cert cancelled and reissued as I had mis-typed the name of the CN on the last one. I am trying to setup a Godaddy turbo SSL certificate with an openLDAP 2.4 server under FreeBSD 8.1. The clients are mainly
