Samba rejecting authentication from Windows machines
Hi everybody. First a short overview of our setup: We have 2 Samba DCs in Domain 1 We use a Windows 10 Pro VM for the RSAT Tools which we access via RDP We have 1 Windows Server 2012 DC for Domain 2 Between Domain 1 and 2 is a Trust for cross-domain file share access Since the last reboot of our samba DCs they suddenly started to block login attempts on the RSAT-VM and also the Trust to the

ISC's dhcp server, radvd and bind9 now adding samba as an AD DC
So I had dhcp, radvd and bind working together nicely and now I threw in a wrench of setting up an AD DC I want to change my dhcp server setting to put client's into the new AD Domain but am a little hesitant as it is all working so nicely with DDNS I'm starting to think all I need to do is edit just my dhcpd.conf and change occurrences of DOMAIN1.SUBDOMAIN.TLD to

ISC's dhcp server, radvd and bind9 now adding samba as an AD DC
I had left my config alone for now and dhcp still writes to DOMAIN1.SUBDOMAIN.TLD. But samba has been complaining about not being able to write to bind in its zone. ISC's dhcp server, radvd and bind9 now adding samba as an AD DC
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Configure_BIND_as_backend_for_Samba_AD helped me find that I needed to add options { [...] tkey-gssapi-keytab "/usr/local/samba/private/dns.keytab"; [...] }; That seems to have fixed my errors with DNS On Fri, May 27, 2016 at 9:26 AM, Rowland penny <rpenny at samba.org> wrote: > On 27/05/16 14:37, Jeff Sadowski wrote: >

Too stupid for sieve (former maildrop user)
Hello, I just migrated from Postfix/Courier/Maildrop to Postfix/Dovecot/Deliver/Sieve and don't unterstand the right syntax for sieve :( I searched and found many small examples and many links to the RFC, but nothing was usefull for me (or i didn't unterstand it) I installed the latest Dovecot-Sieve (hg). Examples from my maildrop config: # Filter FROM if($E =~ /name at domain1\.tld/)

Workstation AD members failing DNS updates - and worse!
Greetings, everyone. I have Samba 4.4.5, built from source on CentOS 6.8 using Bind 9.8.2 and configured in the last couple months. It’s in place and functioning, but I’m having a few issues I’m trying to iron out. First, the workstations added to the AD domain are not able to make DNS updates if the IP address changes after the domain join. However, at the time of the AD join, the DNS entries

Acl Groups
Hi all! I have a corpus of virtual users ( user1 at domain.tld , user2 at domain.tld, user3 at domain.tld,..., usern at domain.tld ... ) authenticated against Active Directory. Is it possible to group some users (virtual) and give appropriate ACLs on a shared imap public folder using an ACL vfile? thanks in advance Dimitrios

multiple domains for the same user
I have postfix and dovecot set up to use virtual domains. I am now experiencing a problem that when I log in as user1 at domain1.tld and then log in as user1 at domain2.tld all the emails are downloaded for user1 at domain2.tld as it thinks all the messages are new. is there anyway to stop dovecot from saying that all the messages are new?

shared mailbox - namespace
Hi all, this is my last try to get help before giving up. I red the dovecot-wiki several times, but it doesn?t work. I don?t know what?s wrong. If I open thunderbird I see the folder "public" but I cannot subscribe it. I have dovecot 1.0.10. Yes it?s a little bit old but it is the latest version under debian packages. Please see my configuration below. here the content of:

Bug Report: %% variables not expanded properly with shared namespace using . as separator
I think this is a bug. I'd expect that location %% variables are translated the same way % variables are interpreted, but apparently this isn't the case. virtual folders work fine, but my shared folders fail because of the . in the domain name. What I get is the following: # doveadm acl debug -u user1 at domain1.com.au shared.user2 at domain2.com.au doveadm(user1 at domain1.com.au):
