Problems with _NET_WM_FULLSCREEN_MONITORS and screen refreshing
re, all... I tried to create an account on bugs.opencompositing.org to report this, but I never got an e-mail back from the account-creation process. Is this the right URI to be reporting bugs for Compiz? Anyway, I've found a couple of bugs that affect applications that use the _NET_WM_FULLSCREEN_MONITORS EWMH hint. I believe these are regressions since Compiz 0.8.0, but am not 100% sure.

Fullscreen windows(videos) and Compiz
I worte in my last mail that when I ue compiz git fullscreen videos are no longer ontop of the gnome-panel... that means that the gnome-panel is still visible while playing the video in fullscreen. The commit which I said may caused it has nothing to do with it compiz does not build if I revert it). again with older compiz and metacity it works fine. (now I am running 20070316). COW and unredirect_fullscreen_windows
I'm using Compiz 0.3.2 on Gentoo with the Nvidia 9626 beta drivers. First off, I would like to state that Compiz is very, very nice. The effects are very tasteful and enhance the desktop experience instead of being distracting. Compiz itself works great, the animations are smooth and it's very nice that it now uses the Metacity themes. The only reason I'm not using Compiz full time

Emulate a lower desktop resolution for web browsing/flash
Hi, My TV isn't big enough to read text when browsing websites (we sit far away) and flash performance is awful at 1920x1080. So I'm looking into ways to decrease the desktop resolution. But my TV (Samsung 46" F series) only supports 1920x1080 via the VGA connector - any lower resolution and it jumps to 1280x1024 which is 4:3 and makes widescreen flash content play squashed.

fullscreen uses panning, and xrandr has cursor moving
I'm having a problem with games running in wine fullscreen with nvidia proprietary driver 185.18 under Fedora 11 64-bit. My desktop resolution is 1920x1200, and when I run a game with 1280x960 fullscreen setup (like Halo for example), it changes resolution to 1280x960 and runs fullscreen as expected, but when I move the mouse toward the edge rapidly, it pans the game screen away as if

Building Compiz
Hi Folks, I work at VMware, where I'm making the multi-monitor feature new in Workstation 6.0 (just released!) more robust. Long story short, window managers don't consistently expose a good way for a single window to go fullscreen across more than monitor, which is what we need to do to display the monitors we expose to a guest virtual machine. So we've proposed a new hint for

unredirect_fullscreen_windows
Is that option working? With compiz 0.3.0 it worked but fullscreen apps (like Quake 3, Unreal Tournament 2004, ..) didn't get any mouse input then. With compiz 0.5.0 it doesn't seem to have any effect (eg. fullscreen apps are lagging, because of the redirection). AIGLX, NVidia drivers 1.0-9755. Show DomU login dialog instead of Dom0''s
Hello, is it possible to login into a DomU (Windows) without beeing logged in in the Dom0 on the same PC where Xen runs? So I want to have something like the Windows login screen on e. g. tty2 so I do not need to login twice (first in Dom0 and the second one in the DomU). Thanks for help, Markus _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list

window stacking bug #1
Hello! I'm trying to find where to send a bug report/fix, and this mailing list is the best I found. I noticed several problems in how Compiz handles full-screen windows*, and I hacked a bit around the source to try to find their source. (*: I use this pretty much as a replacement for full-screen, all the time.) The first two are together below, because they seem caused by the same code. For

Using Compiz in KDE
I have had a rather hard time enabling Compiz on my Dell laptop, as it has an ATI X1400 video card. I found a tutorial which helped me configure Compiz in Gnome, but I'm not about to switch to Gnome. I hope that someone here can help me translate the scripts used in the tutorial to start KDE instead of Gnome. I myself have been unable to do so, after a good day googling the subject. These are

Keyboard focus in 'some' wine apps (games)
Hi, I've noticed, now that I'm using twinview, that when I click any other window outside of the Wine desktop (Civ4 or WCIII normally), I can click back to the Wine desktop but can no longer use any of the keyboard shortcuts. Things work fine before actually clicking outside the wine window (for example, on my Pidgin chat window). This happens whether the app is run in windowed mode or

My last post buggered - FWD about patch version2
No idea why my last post buggered, so here's what I meant to send (attached is his actual patch): Hi! I made a little patch I'd like to see integrated (if appropriate) which makes Compiz usable in desktop+TV-out setups. It adds the --only-current-screen option to compiz which tell it to only manage the screen defined by $DISPLAY and leave the others alone. With

gnome-terminal resizing issues
Hi, I'm having a strange problem with gnome-terminal doubling its own window size every time I switch tabs while some "fullscreen" app (e.g. less or screen) is running in the terminal and the window isn't the default size. To reproduce: - open a terminal and make it a couple of pixels higher - open a new tab - run 'less' in either tab, and switch between the tabs

Fullscreen Problem
Whenever I fullscreen a windowed application using Wine there is an empty and unused bar at the bottom of the screen and my application resizes to fit the remaining area, although my mouse is still able to move to the bottom of the screen. I'm pretty sure that this is wine-related for a couple of reasons. First, I've tried different window managers (compiz and kwin) and gotten the exact

Twinview and wine explorer /desktop
The command I run (important bits):- Code: wine explorer /desktop=civ4,1280x800 Civ4BeyondSword.exe My system has twinview running, an external monitor (1280x1024) and my laptop LCD (1280x800). Gnome sees it as one large monitor of 2560x1024, my monitor is on the left, my LCD on the right. Even though I start wine from the laptop monitor, it starts up (with indicated resolution) on the
