Patch for X-SendFile on Windows
A new TRAC entry with patch has been added (initially for Camping) to allow X-SendFile on Windows to use DirHandler to send files on drives other than the current drive, if the DirHandler base path is "/" (which is the way Camping uses DirHandler). As it was, "/" gets expanded to "C:/", and then you can''t serve files on any other drive, which I needed to do

Fwd: [PATCH (geoip)] use IO.pread from the io-extra lib if possible
I sent this to the author of geoip a few days ago and haven''t heard back, yet. Since he may be on vacation or busy, somebody may also hit this problem in the mean time, I figured I''d post the patch + git repo I sent him here. Unicorn users: The pread(2)/pwrite(2) syscalls are very useful for making libraries like this one (that rely on an on-disk database) compatible with

LDAP_MATCHING_RULE_IN_CHAIN no longer working after upgrade?
Thank you Andrew and Rowland. (Rowland - I tried 'samba-tool dsacl get', thank you! but found the output hard to decipher so I used ldp.exe on Windows instead in the end) On Wed, 22 Nov 2023 at 20:22, Andrew Bartlett <abartlet at samba.org> wrote: > > On Wed, 2023-11-22 at 17:33 +0000, Jonathan Hunter wrote: > > Are permissions checked in a hiearchical fashion, i.e. if

X-Sendfile, static files, windows
Jeremy, I found your old message with this title. I struck the same thing, where the current drive wasn''t the same as the drive I wanted to serve (some) files from. So here''s the patch to add to lib/mongrel/handlers.rb contains class DirHandler. I added two things, first to initialize: def initialize(path, listing_allowed=true, index_html="index.html")

Read-Only file attributes not being preserved.
Hey All, I'm having problems with samba/windows file attributes. I'm using roaming profiles (Win2000) with Samba serving as the PDC. Samba also stores the profiles. The 'Create Mask' is 0744 and the 'force create' is 00. Now the problem is my read-only files are not kept at read-only when I log in. Basically, I create a *read-only* file in my window profiles directory

Unable to start libvirtd 0.9.3 on Ubuntu 10.10
I just built libvirt 0.9.3 on my Ubuntu 10.10 box. It appears to have built correctly. When I try "virsh -c qemu:///session list --all" I get the following: error: Failed to connect socket to '@/home/heath/.libvirt/libvirt-sock': Connection refused error: failed to connect to the hypervisor After that, libvirtd isn't running as user heath as it did when I was using

Problem starting libvirtd 0.9.3 on Ubuntu
I just built libvirt 0.9.3 from scratch on my Ubuntu 10.10 system. It appeared to build and install correctly. When running a command like 'virsh -c qemu:///session list --all', I get the following: error: Failed to connect socket to '@/home/heath/.libvirt/libvirt-sock': Connection refused error: failed to connect to the hypervisor When looking into it, I realized libvirtd

Uniden UIP 200 and Asterisk.
Hi, I'm new to asterisk, and have a uniden UIP 200 that I got off of ebay. I'm having trouble getting the phone to register with asterisk. I've tried a few different settings. I'd be extremely grateful if someone with a similar setting could give me the sip.conf block for the UIP and the settings you're using in uniden.txt. Here's what I have currently: IP of phone

Syslinux: Multi-Disks [feature]
Hi, I'm the maintainer ROCK Linux (www.rocklinux.org). We are using isolinux on our Install-CDs for x86 systems. We - as most other distributions too - are running in the problem that even minimalistc kernels are slowly growing and sometimes don't fit on 1.44 MB floppies anymore. 2.5.x kernels with initramfs are even bigger than 2.88 MB in some cases... Until now it always has been

I would constantly get the following error when attempting to run an online backup. OpenSSH PATCH: OpenCommand and CloseCommand
Hi, the attached patch adds support for the keywords "OpenCommand" and "CloseCommand" to ssh_config. They are commands which are executed before the connection is established (or ProxyCommand started) and after the connection has been closed (or ProxyCommand ended). this is usefull for stuff like portknocking or (that's what I wrote the patch for) talking with trapdoor2

Multiple domains on the same subnet

We are wanting to migrate from an Active Directory to a Samba Domain, I have setup the samba domain and it seems to be working (from the local machine). But this domain cannot be seen from any of the windows boxen. Is there something I need to do to get the windows boxen to see this domain? The AD Domain is EXAMPLE /

rbind a list of matrices
I have a large list of matrices and a vector that identifies the desired matrices that I would like to rbind. However, I am stuck on how to get this to work. I have written some code below to illustrate my problem: # 3 simple matrices a<-matrix(1:9,3,3) b<-matrix(10:18,3,3) c<-matrix(19:27,3,3) #this is the type of list of matrices I am dealing with
