Gfxboot COMBOOT module vs Ubuntu patches
Good afternoon Sebastian,
I am working on upgrading the Ubuntu Syslinux package.
It is currently not in sync with the Debian version, partially because
of merge conflicts with the Gfxboot patches.
Cf:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/syslinux/+bug/270822
https://merges.ubuntu.com/s/syslinux/REPORT
I was wondering where your Gfxboot version comes from. I know both Suse and

Syslinux
Hello all!
I saw on ubuntu that when syslinux starts, it starts a pop-up with language
selecting. I think (?) (not sure) this is from a patch of syslinux named
gfxboot. And I want to make a bootable cd and I need to know how to obtain
that with syslinux, or how to patch it with gfxboot!
Thanks all!

HDT site down??
I have dyndns.org account, so added the name below and mapped the IP
address to it for now. Rather than having to remember the number.
http://hdt-project.dyndns.org/
Not sure what the status is.

[Pull request] disklib: fixes for write functions
Hello Erwan,
You will find below a pull request for the bug reported by Robert Jordan
in the disk library.
The first patch is the one he tested (see
http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2010-September/015341.html) and
the second one is a sanity check for the number of sectors written by call (
see http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2010-September/015342.html).
Thanks,

HDT site down??
Update. I renewed the dns for $16.67? Did the same last year, but it actually
showed it was expired last year? This year it just stopped working and dig
was showing it not expiring till next year? So, it seems to be back up. Don't
have any control on site, but anyone with an account can renew it.
Dear Customer,
We are pleased to confirm that you have successfully renewed the following

New disk detection: feedback
Hi all,
I have started a new branch to play with disk detection.
The CLI looks like:
http://pub.mouraf.org/syslinux/disks.png
The menu:
http://pub.mouraf.org/syslinux/disks-menu-2.png
Does anyone have feedback on it? hpa requested MiB values for partitions
length and erwan a more granular CLI (show disk 0x80 instead of show
disk listing all disks).
Any other take? There is a *LOT* of

remote_form_for issue
Hi everybody,
I''m trying to change my current forms in my app to remote_forms. It was
my understanding that remote_form_for and form_for work in the same way,
so I just wanted to change the methods. My code looks like:
<% form_remote_for :post, :url => posts_url do |f| %>
<%= render :partial => ''form_posts'', :locals => {:f => f} %>

Syslinux roadmap, revised
Hi all...
I'm looking once again at the Syslinux roadmap. It seems to me that
we're going to have a very hard time making Syslinux 4.00 be the
full-featured everything-in-C release I had hoped for, or perhaps more
specifically, that it is justifiable to sit on the current
filesystems-in-C code waiting for the rest.
That would probably mean productizing the transitional COM32R module

[PATCH 0/6] Makefile cleanups
From: Matt Fleming <matt.fleming at linux.intel.com>
This series includes a patch (PATCH 1/6) that I sent previously but I
thought it was worth sending it again since the rest of the series
depends on it, and it also gives a bit of context.
These cleanups make it simpler to do the big switchover to ELF modules
on the elflink branch because the libraries in $LIBS are now contained

[PATCH 1/1] linux.c32: Fix initrd alignment
Impact: None.
The end of memory needs to be page aligned: if the initrd expands beyond it,
Linux kernels won't be able to access the last few bytes.
