Problem in calling R functions from Matlab
Hi, I wish to use R (version 2.13.1)?from within Matlab(ver R2009a) on windows XP plaform (on both 64 bit and 32 bit OS) . For this I have installed StatConnector (http://rcom.univie.ac.at/download/current/statconnDCOM.latest.exe) for calling R from within Matlab (R2009a) on Windows XP platform. I have added all the files of MATLAB_RLINK folder (downloaded from

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: handle same-fb page flips
It's questionable use case, but weston/wayland already relies on this behaviour, and other drivers don't care about it, so it's a matter of compatibility. Without it, process invoking such page flip hangs in unkillable state, trying to reserve the same buffer twice. Offtopic, HT vs. HH in coin flips
Dear R-help, Could someone please try to explain this paradox to me? What is more likely to show up first in a string of coin tosses, "Heads then Tails", or "Heads then Heads"? ##generate 2500 strings of random coin flips ht <- replicate(2500, paste(sample(c("H", "T"), 100, replace = TRUE), collapse =

[PATCH RFC v1 00/52] drm/crtc: Rename struct drm_crtc::dev to drm_dev
Hello, while I debugged an issue in the imx-lcdc driver I was constantly irritated about struct drm_device pointer variables being named "dev" because with that name I usually expect a struct device pointer. I think there is a big benefit when these are all renamed to "drm_dev". I have no strong preference here though, so "drmdev" or "drm" are fine for me,

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Constify struct nouveau_job_ops
"struct nouveau_job_ops" is not modified in these drivers. Constifying this structure moves some data to a read-only section, so increase overall security. In order to do it, "struct nouveau_job" and "struct nouveau_job_args" also need to be adjusted to this new const qualifier. On a x86_64, with allmodconfig: Before: ====== text data bss dec hex

[PATCH 1/4] xen/netback: shutdown the ring if it contains garbage.
A buggy or malicious frontend should not be able to confuse netback. If we spot anything which is not as it should be then shutdown the device and don''t try to continue with the ring in a potentially hostile state. Well behaved and non-hostile frontends will not be penalised. As well as making the existing checks for such errors fatal also add a new check that ensures that there

weighting (survey) data
Hi, is there a function in R equivalent to the "weight by"-command in SPSS? I'm working with survey datasets and the data need to be weighted by a survey/ probability/ design weight (to compensate for different probabilities to be included in the sample in each country). The weight variables are included in the datasets. I did find functions in the Hmisc and survey packages that
