[BUG ?] Nouveau driver on 330M GT
Hi,
I tested Nouveau with 2.6.34, and now with 2.6.35-rc2 and It does not work
with my laptop (chip NVIDIA GeForce 330M GT). (I give more information of the
nvidia chip below). I've seen an error message related to my nvidia chip that
may also be related to my problem :
pci 0000:01:00.0: no compatible bridge window for [mem 0xfff80000-0xffffffff pref]
Thanks in advance for your response.

VM start time slows with large number of VMs
Hello,
We''re running Xen Unstable changeset 15468 with SLES10 on a Unisys
ES7000/one 56x cpu and 160GB memory. Xen is built with NR_DYNIRQS=1024
and max_phys_cpus=64, and booted with dom0_mem=1024 and
xenheap_megabytes=64. We have 320 para-virtualized SLES10 VMs on
external storage.
Our script starts a VM, waits for the start to complete, then starts the

Optimus and Nvidia
I need to buy a Sager 5125 laptop immediately and I am concerned about the
Optimus setup in this model.
It comes with a Nvidia 330M/Intel Hybrid.
I want to use this with Fedora 13. I do not care if I can switch. I just
want it to work. I can also deal with only the onboard graphics working in
linux.
Do you think the HDMI output will work or I will need the 330M driver for
that?
I see nvidia

INITRD > MEMSIZE / 2
I?ve got a 512M machine and a 330M ( uncompressed ) initrd image. How can I
mount the ramdisk? Normal booting seems to want to copy the entire initrd
image into a Ramdisk, thus requiring 2X the memory. So what happens is the
kernel boots correctly and I get,
RAMDISK: ext2 filesystem found at block 0
RAMDISK: Loading 330000 blocks [ 1 disk ] into ram disk
And then I never see the light of day after

samba debian & ubuntu builds
Hi!
After providing samba builds for several debian and ubuntu releases for over 1.5 years,
I see this service is quite popular still.
However, I'd love to understand how useful it is still, and which releases should be
provided in the future.
For example, samba 4.16.x series is end-of-life, there has been no updates for it for
quite some time and none planned, either. Yet people do have

[LLVMdev] Polyhedron 2005 results for dragonegg 3.3svn
Below are the results for the Polyhedron 2005 benchmarks compiled with llvm/compiler-rt/dragonegg 3.3svn at r182439 against current
FSF gcc 4.7.3svn and 4.8.1svn. The only major bug remaining in the dragonegg 3.3svn support for gcc 4.8.x is http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=15980
which results in unresolved symbols for _iround and _iroundf in the aermod and rnflow testcases. Note that this

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/fbcon: fix suspend/resume fbcon
Current code disables fbcon acceleration before fbcon is suspended,
leading to corrupted console after resume from s2disk. In a similar
fashion we must make sure that fbcon acceleration is enabled before we
revive the console.
With this patch s2disk works correctly on my MacBookPro6,2 with GT216

repeatable crash on RELENG7
While trying to speed up nanobsd builds, I mounted /usr/obj on a
ramdisk and found my box crashing. Thinking it might be hardware, I
tried a separate machine, but with the same results. I have 4G of
ram (i386). Am I just running out of some kernel memory ? If so, is
there anything I can adjust to prevent this, yet still use mfs in this way ?
