R 3.6.2 is released
Thank you. I apologize for not providing the link. [1] Under the news for R-revel there is a single entry for R 3.6.2-patched. The file I downloaded was [2] with a date of 2019-12-12 01:50. Is it safe to say that 3.6.2 has the LAPACK upgrades and fixes? Apologies in advance if iOS links the URL below. I cannot access gmail desktop from behind my corporate firewall. Thank you again, Avi [1]

Error in Rd[[which]] : subscript out of bounds
Hi-- I googled the above error and found previous postings about this error on the list. I was having a little difficulty implementing the advice though. The suggestions were to use: traceback() and checkRd(). I'm using R in the directory in which the .Rd file with the problem is located, but I'm having difficulty figuring out how to proceed. I've looked through the help pages for

R 3.6.2 is released
It is not obvious what it is that you are calling "R-patched", nor where there could be an entry for "3.6.2 patched". The prerelease/patched versions are snapshots of R-3-6-branch made at 00:20 so the current one will have been made before the release version run started at 09:00 this morning, and hence the nightly tarball will be of the release candidate. However it will not

R 3.6.2 is released
Hi. Under R-news there is an entry for 3.6.2 patched regarding LAPACK. However, when uncompresding the current R-patched, it creates R-Rc directories. Is this a naming oversight or is the patched version actually the unadjusted release candidate? R-1.7.0 is released
I've rolled up R-1.7.0.tgz a short while ago. This is a new version with major changes in the methods/class area and with namespaces used much more widely than before. Several routines now use the faster and more modern LAPACK library. Also notice that the underscore is now strongly deprecated as an assignment operator. There are also a bunch of new functions and an assortment of bugs have

tools::checkRd() output different from R CMD check
Hello, When running tools::checkRd() on a single .Rd file, should I expect the output to be the same as that generated by R CMD check when it checks .Rd files? R CMD check finds the following warning: * checking Rd \usage sections ...
