HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller
Hello, I'm trying to install CentOS 6.0 64bit on a HP ProLiant ML110 G7 with a HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller. One logical drive (RAID 1+0) on the RAID Controller is already build. CentOS Installation can't find the logical Drive, but it shows me the zwo physical drives (sda+sdb). After searching the web, I found following hints:

newer HP G4 and G5 servers and centos :-)
Greets Anyone on the list using newer HP G4 or G5 server hardware like DL36X or DL38X with Centos? Or other HP hardware? Are you running Intel, AMD, or both? Are you using SAS or SATA or a mix? Are you using Centos 3, CentOS 4, or starting migration to CentOS 5 Are things rock solid stable without any issues? I know older Compaq and HP boxen have been rock solid for us for years yet we

HP dl580 g5 RAID management
If this were a Dell RAID, I could use megaraid while the system's running. Does anyone know what I need to use to manage the HP "amart array" RAID? I've got an orange light on a drive, and can't find, googling, whether I can just pull the drive, or if I have to separate it from the RAID, or.... And can't bring the system down to use the firmware interface, not without

anyone using pxelinux.0 > 3.36 successfully with HP DLXXX G3, G5?
Hello * this morning I tried to upgrade from pxelinux 3.11 to 3.84 and discovered that the localboot stuff does not work on HP DL360 G3 and G5. The latest syslinux Version I found with a working localboot is 3.36. pxelinux.cfg/default: default harddisk prompt 1 label harddisk localboot 0 implicit 0 timeout 250 This so simple, it should just work, shouldn't it? TDM400P/FXS in a HP DL380 G5
The HP DL380 G5 (like many rack servers) has no AMP Mate-n-Lok connector available to attach to a card that needs more power than the PCI bus can provide, like the TDM400P when FXS modules are used. HP has confirmed that there is no part they sell to give you such a connector, and Digium says their business edition folks got it to work, but only by doing nasty warranty-voiding things to the

HP ProLiant DL380 G5
I have CentOS 6.x installed on a "HP ProLiant DL380 G5" server. It has eight 750GB drives in a hardware RAID6 array. Its acting as a host for a number of OpenVZ containers. Seems like every time I reboot this server which is not very often it sits for hours running a disk check or something on boot. The server is located 200+ miles away so its not very convenient to look at. Is

qlogic qle2462 hba and freebsd stable on a dl360 g5
Hi. I'm looking at a qlogic qle2462 hba for my dl360 g5. The thread http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-stable@freebsd.org/msg99497.html mentions a deadlock when system is loaded. Has this issue been resolved? Are there other PCI Express hba's which are known to work with freebsd stable and dl360 g5? -- regards Claus When lenity and cruelty play for a kingdom, the gentler gamester is

Anyone running Xen on HP DL380 G5? Intel 5150 and 5160 CPU''s?
I''ve got a client demanding the use of HP DL380 G5''s, for various historical reasons, for a server room. I''m going nuts trying to figure out if the available CPU''s for them support VT, so I can avoid building them a separate Windows box. Unfortunately, the local web proxy is overloaded, so actually browsing the JavaScript/image loaded web pages for HP is

HP DL360 G5 better than HP DL360 G7 ?
Any tips on solving the following performance conundrum: Asterisk 1.8.12.2 running on HP DL360 G5 and G7s tcpdump running to capture UDP 5060/SIP signaling to .pcap files All calls are ultimately B2BUA client -> asterisk -> PSTN Media stays on Asterisk at all times AGI script has exit handler that connects and updates an external database upon BYE from either side. I know that if exit

I suspect screen tearing (as it's usually defined) is to be expected. Can you take a photo of what you're seeing, since I'm suspecting it's more than regular screen tearing? OK. That's not tearing. That's like a bad pitch on an image. (Presumably you only find the second image, IMG_1968.jpg, problematic?) I'm guessing you're using a GL-based compositor, which I fully expect to work poorly. Please try a non-compositing or XRender-based compositing environment.
