Could .Primitive("[") stop forcing R_Visible = TRUE?
Hello, The "[" primitive operator currently has the 'eval' flag set to 0 in src/main/names.c. This means that the result of subsetting, whether R-native or implemented by a method, will never be invisible(). This is a very reasonable default: if the user goes as far as to subset a value, they probably want to see the result. Unfortunately, there also exists at least one

OpenMP Error in Clang
Hello, I am getting the following error while trying to build a benchmark with a custom function pass: clang -Xclang -fopenmp=libomp -Xclang -load -Xclang my_lib.so file.c error: unknown argument: '-fopenmp=libomp' If I use this instead: clang -Xclang -fopenmp=libomp -Xclang -load -Xclang my_lib.so file.c I get the error: fatal error: 'omp.h' file not found I am not

Could .Primitive("[") stop forcing R_Visible = TRUE?
Thanks for the detailed analysis and proposition Ivan. The patch you are proposing to base R is https://github.com/Rdatatable/data.table/issues/6566#issuecomment-2428912338 right? Hello everyone, Below are some buildbot numbers for the last week of 9/25/2016 - 10/1/2016. Please see the same data in attached csv files: The longest time each builder was red during the last week; "Status change ratio" by active builder (percent of builds that changed the builder status from greed to red or from red to green); Count of commits by project; Number of completed

Errors in configuration for LLVM with CMake GUI
I tried to configure CMake for LLVM using the GUI and I've attached the logs for the attempt to this message. I installed Perl and the latest version of GCC before that attempt. There were still errors that stopped it from being able to generate project files, though. I'd like to know how I can get this to work. How do I tell it where to find Backtrace, Libomp, Compiler-RT, LLD and

[OpenMP][AArch64][GlobalISel] AArch64 OMPT tests failing
Curious. I removed -fno-experimental-isel and all of the tests *except* control_tool.c passed. I would have expected all of them to pass if blockaddress works. I'll try to look at some asm and see what's going on. -David Jonas Hahnfeld <hahnjo at hahnjo.de> writes: > Hi David, > > I was the one who originally added the flag to fix failures

[LLVMdev] Purpose of LLVM_ENABLE_LIBCXX and LLVM_ENABLE_LIBCXXABI
Wouldn’t it it be possible to add a flag like the one used in the OpenMP subproject? There they default to linking to the non-functional libgomp (as far as I understand it), and if people want to use the actual libomp runtime, they have to specify -fopenmp=libomp when compiling/linking a program. At the same time, it is possible to use the libomp runtime library by default by specifying

strtoi output of empty string inconsistent across platforms
Identified as root cause of a bug in data.table: https://github.com/Rdatatable/data.table/issues/3267 On my machine, strtoi("", base = 2L) produces NA_integer_ (which seems consistent with ?strtoi: "Values which cannot be interpreted as integers or would overflow are returned as NA_integer_"). But on all the other machines I've seen, 0L is returned. This seems to be

write.xlsx error message
I think remember this error from trying to write an Excel file that already existed. If this file already exists, try to delete it and see, if this solves the issue. Besides that you're writing that you are "Using write.xlsx to extract data from an Excel file", write.xlsx() is to write an Excel file, not to read from it. Should be read.xlsx() then iirc. ? ? Translations and snprintf on Windows
[a bit unsure on if this is maybe better for r-package-devel] We recently added translations to messages at the R and C level to data.table. At the C level, we did _() wrapping for char arrays supplied to the following functions: error, warning, Rprintf, Error, and snprintf. This seemed OK but the use of snprintf specifically appears to have caused a crash on Windows:

Errors in configuration for LLVM with CMake GUI
I probably need GCC for Git bash. And the one I have is MinGW's GCC, which is the one for Windows. I don't know why CMake is trying to find Linux headers. Hopefully someone who knows better what to do will weigh in here. @Jonathan Goodwin<mailto:jondgoodwin at gmail.com> , are you sure you didn't have to tell it where the header files for Windows are? If I need to specify
