BUG: panic when using fs:posix as dict for acl_shared_dict
It's not very high priority I'm afraid. Did you try using sqlite instead?

"mount -u -o ro" problems with 7-stable
Hi,
This happened to me repeatedly (but not always), even
after updating to the latest RELENG_7 yesterday ...
1. Boot into single user mode
2. fsck / # finishes successful!
3. mount -u /
4. Do a few edits to files in /etc
5. mount -u -o ro /

Compliments on 1.2-rc6, and a few notes
I use wine almost exclusively to run EA's Simcity 4 Rush Hour. Up until rc-4 or so, this was an ordeal as the graphics would clog, apparently due to improper handling of the paging requirements.
SC4 is a legacy program written for Windows '95 in 2002/3 and after published fixes has a tolerable number of bugs, all well known. It is the only really decent city simulation program on the

Using Chef to set the database name, username, and password
One of my Ruby on Rails apps is Bargain Stock Funds
(https://github.com/jhsu802701/bsf), and it relies on a Ruby gem called
bsf_scrape (https://github.com/jhsu802701/bsf_scrape) to obtain and process
data on stock funds and then save the results in a PostgreSQL database.
As you well know, the config/database.yml file needs the database name, the
username, and the password. My procedures for

AWS OpsWorks announcement using Chef
I wonder if PuppetLabs will work with Amazon to try to add Puppet as an
option to OpsWorks as well ?
I don''t think people using Puppet with AWS in a stable fashion would try to
move to OpsWorks and migrate everything to Chef, but new customers/startups
would think twice in choosing Puppet if the service offered in AWS OpsWorks
is based on Chef.
I haven''t tried OpsWorks yet,

exact confidence intervals for conditional logistic regression
Dear R folks,
We completed a matched case-control study that was analyzed using
conditional logistic regression. Because of the small sample size we need
to calculate exact confidence intervals. The quick solution is to purchase
LogExact by Cytel. However, we'd like to do this in R. Anyone have
experience with this?
Many thanks,
Tomas
