My associations are coming out nil.
I''ve got a fairly simple system with a table for my Users that includes a CountryId field which looks up to the CountryId field of my Country table. What I would like to happen is for my Rails application, which contains models for both User and Country, to be able to draw the dropdown list of available countries on the edit page, like it does in all the tutorials. My model classes look

Hi all, Although I''m experienced with programming I''m a beginner with ruby, RoR and MVC So I follow examples from books and so on and all is ok. I can make a model who is a class and who match to a table in my database and then I generate pretty forms on a webpage. I would like to know how I can do to make forms who interact with more than one table. For an example lets

Hi José, Just to be sure, did you mean to share this PHP script somewhere? Robert, I'm thinking you'll have to do something like José did and create some custom code to get all that you are asking for. Per User Quotas
HI All Asking for a little patience and a bit of help here. I'm using dovecot-1.1.3_1 with postfix and squirrelmail. I have implemented a global quota successfully. That works fine. I want to now implement per user quotas. So far I have read the howto in the documentation and searched several threads but can't seem to get it working properly. My LDAP server is Windows 2003 Active

Hello generous coders, I''m having difficulty getting a couple of tests to pass. I have an address model which takes an address and with a callback on save and update passes the address to google''s geocoding service. The returned XML is parsed and saved to the address object: protected def geocode_address key = "mykey" url =

Bad echo on these outside North America is likely to be because of impedance mismatch. Echo cancel isn't likely to properly fix it. Samba 4 "Services for UNIX"? [SOLVED]
To get the automount schema to work with the git checkout of samba 4 I had to modify the automount schema files and separate the attributes from the classes. I also discovered that it's required to have the ntSecurityDescriptor , instanceType, and objectCategory attributes. Without these it will crash whenever you try to browse... I did alot of stopping samba, tarring of /usr/local/samba and

Hi all, I have an icecast server in a facility which can handle several hundred simultaneous connections and I would like to produce some data like: How many people are listening now? Where might they be? [general area is OK] How long have they been listening? How many different listeners have we had? [ lets not count returning listeners as new ] What is the average time spent listening?
