Cyber Power System CP1500 AVR UPS: changing battery.charge.low value [ups.delay.start sidebar]
Thanks Charles for the clarification.
If NUT cannot control it then removing it would, IMO add value.

Cyber Power System CP1500 AVR UPS: changing battery.charge.low value [ups.delay.start sidebar]
Very good point. I hope to write a beginners guide -- more like adopting
my notes --on NUT.
I could summarise your point that technically one should only override
settings that NUT can act upon (like those settings that control Low
Battery or, as stated in the documentation if the reported value is known
to be incorrect. Overriding a variable that is out of scope for NUT (as

UPS not Shutting Down
Hi,
I tried your suggestions on another Proxmox environment with the following
ups.conf:
# Wait 10 seconds for the driver to finish starting.
maxstartdelay = 10
# Try 3 times to start the driver, before giving up.
maxretry = 3
# Wait 5 seconds between attempts to start the driver.
retrydelay = 5
# Poll the ups every 5 seconds
pollinterval = 5
[pve1]

Cyber Power System CP1500 AVR UPS: changing battery.charge.low value
Hi Charles,
The posting at
https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/432#issuecomment-405371395
references ups.delay.start and suggests setting it to -1.
upsrw -l pve1 at localhost listed this as modifiable but any attempt at
modifying the value failed. I used the *override.ups.delay.start = -1* in
nut.conf and this is now being reported.
Two observations are that once a variable setting

The server we are using is headless, I can?t install a desktop software
unfortunately.
That?s why I am trying to find a driver for NUT on OpenMediaVault.
Best regards

Problems with usbhid-ups and CyberPower CP1500 on 2.6.0
I've been running the Debian packaged 2.4.3 for a while, working find. When
2.6.0-1 just pushed through to debian, things have stopped working :(
I checked what had been the usual suspects in past problems, namely
permissions problems in /dev/bus/usb, but all seems in order:
$ lsusb

Bus 009 Device 002: ID 0764:0501 Cyber Power System, Inc. CP1500 AVR UPS
$ ls -l /dev/bus/usb/009/002

Hello,
Also note that NUT project does not currently issue packages, and I have
a hard time guessing what distro might ship a "driver.version:
DSM7-1-1-42930-workplus-version2-repack-42930-220712". Ask them what NUT
version (release or snapshot) they use, and if they would consider shipping
a newer one?
Sometime recently (after 2.8.0 release) an option was added to quiesce

NUT with Cyber Power 700 AVR
I recently purchased a Cyber Power 700 AVR UPS. I installed it just fine
and wanted to install NUT to monitor the unit.
I searched the mailing
list and found a similar post. However, the distro used in that post was
different and the unit was slightly different (900 AVR).
My server is
running Debian Lenny. The Cyber Power UPS is connect to one of the serial

[OT] Tidy of Wiki Sidebar
I have been tidying up bits of the Wiki. This
one is not clear cut, so I decided to seek
advice. Also, I wasn't sure where to post this
question, so defaulted to ogg-dev.
Should Speex and CMML be removed from
the Wiki Sidebar at:
https://wiki.xiph.org/MediaWiki:Sidebar ?
Many thanks,

Problem with login form in sidebar
I have a basic login form rendered as a component in the sidebar of my
main layout view.
Whether or not the login succeeds, the controller redirects to the main
index to refresh the sidebar. On success, I set the session[:user_id]
to @user.id as usual.
The problem is that ''index'' gets rendered in the sidebar. However, when
I comment out "session[:user_id] =

Simple Sidebar Solutions: How does yours work?
I''m working on a simple photo gallery app for personal use and I want to
generalize the sidebar such that in any page (controller or view, I''m
not sure which) I can dynamically add either
1. links to a given sidebar
2. or an entire sidebar.
I know that typo does this, and I''ve looked the code. I think it''s too
complex a solution for my simple site.

TextMate Sidebar
Hey David,
I just watched the RubyConf recording of your RSpec session and noticed that
you''re using a modified version of TextMate that uses a sidebar instead of a
project drawer. Where did you find that mod?
