[PATCH] helper to create fb css stylized table
I attached a rails helper implementation of the fb_table described here:
http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Facebook_Styles
I included testing and comments. I hope you find it useful.
Curiously, it''s really a small extension of FBML.

A style question
I''m working on the ability to share a single session between Facebook
and Non-Facebook requests. Right now, to setup a shared session, you
create a link like:
<%= link_to "Non-Facebook
view",leaders_url(facebook_session_parameters.merge(:canvas=>false))%>
The facebook_session_parameters includes all of the necessary info. Is
this okay, or would it be better as

facebook_url_rewriter not used in Publisher?
As per my last email, I''m generating links to our app outside of Facebook.
Sorry for the onslaught of emails on this. I do link generation in
Publisher based code as well. What I''m finding is that the Facebooker
UrlRewriter doesn''t get used in Publisher. This makes sense if we assume
that Publisher can be used outside of an HTTP request, and things like the

Hi All,
I attempting to add a simple AJAX link on my app, using the following code:

Unfortunately, this results in the following JavaScript error:

Rails 3: link_to with "data-confirm"
Hi,
has anyone experienced any problems with the new link_to and
data-confirm in Rails3? It seems when you create a link with instead of
link text, an image, the confirm message isn''t shown.
<%=
link_to(
image_tag("delete.png", :alt =>
t("helpers.label.destroy")),

Facebooker support for iframe apps
Hi facebooker-ers,
It looks to me like facebooker does not currently support iframe
facebook apps - or am I missing something?
My first problem as I understand it is as follows - When you are
logged into facebook, and access a facebook application,
facebook tacks on a whole lot of extra fb_sig parameters to the
request (including fb_sig_user) that the application can then
validate to

Setting :canvas => false for URL generation doesn''t always work?
I generate a lot of URL''s in my Facebook related code that point to our main
site, not our FB app. My understanding was that the way to do this was to
use ":canvas => false" as a parameter to url_for and link_to and so on.
However, that doesn''t seem to generate the proper URL''s. The URL''s still
point to apps.facebook.com (because they

Facebooker-talk Digest, Vol 5, Issue 12
Hi all,
I wanted to test requests from internal facebook apps, so I''ve been
mimicking FBML requests from facebook in my tests using the following:
def test_can_facebook_internal_app_login
fb_login_as :facebooker
num_of_members = Member.count
facebook_request :get, :home
assert_response :success
assert_equal num_of_members, Member.count

Relative URL fix
Hi Facebookers,
I have been working on a change to facebooker to allow facebook and
non-facebook apps to exist on the same code-base. I modified the url
rewriting in facebooker a bit so that it would continue to use the
facebook relative url when needed but not prepend the facebook app
name to controller paths that didn''t have anything to do with your
facebook app.
Here is the

Test driving Facebooker with Rspec?
I''ve been spiking on a Facebook application so far just to learn the
Facebook(er) API, but I''d prefer to test drive.
It seems to me (with my limited knowledge) that what''s needed is some sort
of mocking framework at the network level. I''m thinking of creating a set of
YAML files similar to fixtures that represent the remote Facebook state,
then overriding

simple routing & linking question
So I have an existing app & facebook app in same rails application,
for now I have decided to go the route of creating a controller for
facebook stuff (called FaceController).
(setup is canvas, fbml)
So I have:
facebook config
http://myurl:myport/face/
My controllers name is face, so I dont even need a manual route, for
the landing page it works like a charm.
but, when I try to make

If this is not possible, then here is my problem:

handling post-remove URL / uninstall of application
Hi there,
I''ve configured my post-remove URL (which has to be directly to my
site, not an apps.facebook.com URL) and now I''m trying to figure out
how to handle this. It''s poorly documented here:
http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Post-Remove_URL
It seems as though support for this is currently not yet in
Facebooker. In order to get it to work, it

Helpers and URL Rewriting
Hey folks,
I''m part way through a project using, I think rev 73 of Facebooker,
and was getting along pretty well. I''ve since tried the latest rev
(86) and have run into a few problems.
First one was with the helpers in that for some reason now none of
them are available so I''ve had to use helper :application, etc in my
controller.
Second one, which

Setting profile FBML for a Facebook Page
Had a user add our app to a Facebook Page,
http://www.facebook.com/business/?pages. Facebook Pages act like
users but are more for businesses and Bands.
It looks like the current Facebooker API doesn''t currently support
setting the Profile FBML for a Page.
The current code for setting the proflie is this:

Is Ezra''s RESTful recipe needed anymore?
Hi all,
In the recent Advanced Rails Recipes book, Ezra states that Rails needs a
little bit of adjustment for its restful routing to work with Facebook. He
suggests created an initializer named facebook_overrides.rb and adding this
code:
http://pastie.caboo.se/206696
But I was just testing restful routing without that code, and Rails seemed
to be working fine with Facebook.
