[PATCH v2 0/8] fbdev: Clean up include dependencies in header
Remove unnecessary dependencies in the include statements of the
header file <linux/fb.h>. Several files throughout the kernel include
the fbdev header, so reducing dependencies positively affects other
subsystems as well. Also fix up nouveau and fbtft, which need backlight.h
in some their source files.
v2:
* include backlight.h in fbtft (kernel test robot)

[PATCH] backlight: Avoid double fbcon backlight handling
Backlights controlled by i915.ko and only associated with its connectors
and also only associated with the intel_drmfb fbcon, controlled by
i915.ko. In this situation, we already handle adjusting the backlight
when the fbcon is blanked/unblanked and do not require backlight trying
to do the same.
Attempting to register with the fbdev as a client causes lockdep to warn
about a dependency cycle:

[PATCH 0/3] Kconfig dependencies: acpi-video, backlight and thermal
Hi everyone,
It took me a while to figure this out properly, as I kept getting
circular or missing dependencies with video drivers.
This set of three patches should simplify the situation a bit,
mostly by cleaning up the dependencies around CONFIG_ACPI_VIDEO.
With all three patches applied, I no longer run into those related
warnings. If everyone agrees on the general direction, I hope
we can

[PATCH v1 0/4] PCI/VGA: Improve the default VGA device selection
From: Sui Jingfeng <suijingfeng at loongson.cn>
Currently, the default VGA device selection is not perfect. Potential
problems are:
1) This function is a no-op on non-x86 architectures.
2) It does not take the PCI Bar may get relocated into consideration.
3) It is not effective for the PCI device without a dedicated VRAM Bar.
4) It is device-agnostic, thus it has to waste the effort to

[PATCH v2 0/9] drm/print: add and use drm_debug_enabled()
Hi all, v2 of [1], a little refactoring around drm_debug access to
abstract it better. There shouldn't be any functional changes.
I'd appreciate acks for merging the lot via drm-misc. If there are any
objections to that, we'll need to postpone the last patch until
everything has been merged and converted in drm-next.

Jani.

[PATCH 1/3] drm/nouveau: include drm/drm_edid.h only where needed
Including drm_edid.h from nouveau_connector.h causes the rebuild of 15
files when drm_edid.h is modified, while there are only a few files that
actually need to include drm_edid.h.
