Hello everyone,
For the context, I'm trying to add support for offline join in WAPT WADS
OS deployment [1]. Currently WADS supports offline join of Windows
computers, and I want to add support for Linux computer using SSSD as a
authentication client (for the persons who might dismiss this mail

samba49 offline join
Hi list,
Ive generated a samba 4.9 AD, which is running properly. Now I want to
understand how to use the "samba-tool computer" command for offline
joining windows clients.
First I created a machine name (this is identical to <ComputerName> in
unattend.xml?):

menu(s) won't compile because of missing header file
If you cd to the /menu directory and type 'make' it
fails with this error:
libmenu/help.c:17:57: error: loadfile.h: No such file
or directory
libmenu/help.c: In function 'showhelp':
libmenu/help.c:99: warning: implicit declaration of
function 'loadfile'
make: *** [libmenu/help.o] Error 1
The problem can be averted by adding the proper header
location the file

Patch sensible callback framework
This patch adds a simple callback framework.
Modified loadfile and floadfile to look for callbacks and call them if present
Supports multiple callbacks
Modified com32/modules/linux.c to demonstrate functionality (it's a little more complicated than it should be just to demonstrate multiple callbacks). Add progress argument to display a percentage indicator when loading.

[RFC/PATCH] New chainloading functionality
This patch introduces extra functionality to chain.c, mainly with reference to
BPB adjustments, but not only that. It expects 3 small patches I sent earlier

Kodi crashes when trying to browse network

Kodi is a GUI app. There is no "shell" or "exit to shell" feature. It calls library
functions and does not call the "smbclient"

directory didn't work until I added the /include/syslinux to the file.

Samba-ad-dc service stops with segfault error
Hello,
Just yesterday, we installed the new samba version - 4.18.1 - and
configured AD domain controllers. Samba service started without any
issues. But with in 10 minutes of starting the service entered failed
state. Restarting the service is also resulting in the same issue.
Service enters failed state with in 15-20 minutes
I have deployed samba on RHEL 8.

Non repetitive permutations/combinations of elements
Hello all,
I am trying to create a matrix of 1s and -1s without any repetitions for a
specified number of columns.
e.g. 1s and -1s for 3 columns can be done uniquely in 2^3 ways.
-1 -1 -1

-1 1 -1
-1 1 1
1 -1 -1
1 -1 1
1 1 -1
1 1 1
and for 4 columns in 2^4 ways and so on.

pxechn.c32 does not do TFTP
Digging more, loadfile("192.0.2.1::pxe.0", &file.data, &file.size),
queries DNS, which sounds like it doesn't follow the same call path as
a COM32 calling pxe_dns(). If the DNS won't resolve the IP, things
won't load properly. pxechn.c32 sets sname in the intended packet to
"192.0.2.1" which may be confusing something.
More debugging needed.

Checking if host is on the same subnet
We are doing a deployment across many sites, we're doing one site at a time
and we're bringing a "mobile server" (a laptop, really) to keep traffic
local instead saturating the WAN link of each site.
