sas.get problem
I have 3 SAS files all in the directory F:/sas, two data files and a format file : form.ea1.sas7bdat form.ea2.sas7bdat sas.fmts.sas7bdat F is a USB. I am trying import them to R using "sas.get". I have not used SAS since I was downloading data from mainframe and having to write JCL. I had forgotten how bizarre SAS can be. I currently have not even figured out how to load the files

Problem building Samba 3.3 on Solaris 10
Hi, I attempted to build v3.3 using Sun Studio 12, but it failed right out of the gate. It looks like it can't find the standard libraries, but according to the make output, it's looking in the right places. Would someone please clue me in as to what I'm missing? Thanks. -John Using FLAGS = -I/opt/heimdal/include -I/usr/sfw/include/openssl -g -xs -xtarget=ultraT1

zpool version 3 & Uberblock version 9 , zpool upgrade only half succeeded?
We are currently experiencing a very huge perfomance drop on our zfs storage server. We have 2 pools, pool 1 stor is a raidz out of 7 iscsi nodes, home is a local mirror pool. Recently we had some issues with one of the storagenodes, because of that the pool was degraded. Since we did not succeed in bringing this storagenode back online (on zfs level) we upgraded our nashead from opensolaris b57

Determining curthread pointer (ulwp_t) via libproc on i386
How would I determine the address of the ulwp_t structure for the current thread of a process from a 32-bit i386 executable looking at a 32-bit executable? (This is in support of a fix for 6593259: "libdtrace should prefer pid probes to breakpoints".) For example, if I compile the following code 64-bit snippet, I can get that address from 32-bit or 64-bit executables:

Does Asterisk overwrite any libraries?
I am using a brand new RH9.0 installation. I installed Asterisk afterwards so I am not sure if Asterisk caused the problem below. The ps doesn't work. It could also be something else. I also tried installing a some video package. But I thought to ask here first if someone has seen this before. [root@localhost asterisk]# ps ps: error while loading shared libraries: libproc.so.2.0.6: cannot

cross compling openssh-3.5p1 for ppc
Greetings: ------------ BACKGROUND -------------------------- I am using the Monta Vista development kit on an Intel RedHat Linux platform... the target is PPC_405. The configure utility that comes with the openssh-3.5p1 code will not support cross compilation. It gives an error message about not being able to test its results and then exits before it creates a Makefile. To get around this

Numbering Plan and Siemens EWSD
Hi all, We're trying to hook up our Asterisk config (Card: TE410P) with a Siemens EWSD switch. The link is ok on both ends (green), with no errors. The problem is when we try to make a call from our side (via call files), we get the pri/E1 error Ext: 1 Cause: Temporary failure (41), class = Network Congestion (2) Our Telecom partner (they checked with Siemens) mentioned that we need to

In that case. apt-get update apt-get remove samba winbind --autoremove apt-get dist-upgrade --autoremove apt-get install samba winbind libnss-winbind libpam-winbind tdb-tools apt-get dist-upgrade --autoremove --purge As long as you dont use --purge, everything of samba will stay on the system and you able to install the buster version. Booting back into CentOS-6
This, IMHO, is one of the more annoying bugs with the newer GRUB (which i assume is the bootloader you are using). Specifically the newer grub can't, won't boot from a drive other than the one grub is on. suggest you revert to grub 0.97 or, if any boot loader is or can be put on the drive with the 6.5 distro you can make that drive the boot drive in the bios, which is how i do it. i.e.
