VectorComparison
Hi all, I am not exactly fluent in R and I got stuck with this. I would like to compare each elements of a vector A with any of the elements in Vector B. For some reasons it does not work. > StartDate = as.Date("01/10/2007", "%d/%m/%Y") > TimeSpan = seq(StartDate, by = 'days', length = length(myAverageCWVs$X1986)) > TickLabels = c("2007-10-01",

group membership inconsistency on AD domain member
Hi, I've been running a samba server with winbind (CentOS 7) as a member of an AD Domain (Windows 2012 R2) for several months without a problem. "Suddenly" I'm seeing the problem that the membership in newly created AD groups isn't correctly visible for some users on the samba server or only after some indefinite amount of time. I'm looking simply at the output of

using onchange options in forms
Hello, I''m trying to get a select field to update a view via the ''onchange'' option. I''ve seen examples of it here in the forum where people hardcode the forms and use javascript to trigger the change (and nearly all have complained that it''s a hack) and I''m wondering if anyone has a more elegant solution using the embedded ruby methods?

chocolatey, windows, powershell and fault bucket
Hi, I configured puppet open source with the chocolatey module and one windows client. When the puppet agent run as a service (not the interactive version) I can see in the windows event log some errors like Fault bucket 1734820220, type 5 Event name: PowerShell Fault bucket , type 0 Event name: PowerShell I tried to google it but I did not find anything relevant apart from some

Using Samba for Powershell queries
Does anyone know if it’s possible to run Powershell cmdlets such as Get-ADUser or Set-ADUser against a Samba server? The reason I’m asking is for the purpose of developing Powershell scripts. When my laptop is offline it would be very useful to still be able to run that kind of cmdlets without installing a full Windows Server VM. Best regards, Carl

Using onlyif for Windows exec
Hello, I am in the process of "trying out" Puppet, and so far, it is going really well, and I can see a clear line of how we can use it internally. I do have one question though with regard to the using the onlyif parameter of the exec command (as per here http://docs.puppetlabs.com/references/latest/type.html#exec). Ideally, what I would like to do is to only run a PowerShell exec

Can''t write to "Windows PowerShell" source with win32-eventlog
Hi all, Tim Uckun reported, and I''ve confirmed, that you can''t write to the Windows PowerShell event source for some reason. Tim thought it might be because of the space in the name, but my attempt to quote it did not seem to help. In order to follow along, install PowerShell, create the foo.dll using the foo.mc file in the ''test'' directory, and try the

samba4 domain and powershell
Hi, All. In official samba wiki https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Installing_RSAT_on_Windows_for_AD_Management#Installation Feature explanation: Active Directory Module for Windows PowerShell: Administrating AD via PowerShell I thought I can manage samba4 domain with powershell, but I can't. I see error "Unable to find a default server with active directory web services running"

[samba as AD] Scripting GPO creation
Hi all, As I'm lazy I would like to script GPO creation and I did not found anything relevant yet. Anyone already tried to extract whole information regarding one GPO from LDAP tree? That would be a nice option to perform that task, giving us possibility to create one GPO, extract it, modify LDIF, inject it.

[samba as AD] Scripting GPO creation
PS: I could share information about what should be modified to modify the very same GPO, I didn't yet as I'm not sure anyone there would be interested and because that would work only for that kind of GPO. 2016-07-06 17:08 GMT+02:00 mathias dufresne <infractory at gmail.com>: > Context: several teams have to manage only a a bunch of the company's > computers, so these

Dashboard table resource_statuses growing uncontrollably
I''ve "inherited" the administration of a puppet-dashboard (version 1.1.0, installed on RHEL 5.6 from puppetlabs RPM), and have hit a problem I''m hoping for some help with. In short, one table, "resource_statuses" appears to be growing at a rate far higher then the other tables: mysql> select count(*) from nodes; +----------+ | count(*) | +----------+ |

Essentially identical to v1 except that it now uses (overloads?) the --mac option to supply this data. Rich.

warnings from hist(): parameter XXX couldn't be set in high-level plot functionN
Hello - This is not a real problem, just an annoyance. Sometimes, but not always, I get a set of strange warnings from hist(). Example follows. ############################ #Produce a histogram of start dates for a set of field measurements. # I didn't reproduce all the dates, because not sure it's relevant, but here's a sample. # Note the invalid date in the fifth element. >
