unable to run samba 4.6.2 bits compiled from source
Hello Samba,
I am running ubuntu 14.04 LTS, kernel version 4.4.0-71-generic
#92~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP, originally the samba version was 4.3
I got hold of samba 4.6.2 Tar from the official repo, configured, compiled,
and installed the bits. Unfortunately I am running into the following error:
~/work/samba-4.6.2$ smbstatus
smbstatus: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libndr.so.0: version `NDR_0.0.6' not

Compiling samba4 hangs at [1815/3978] Compiling librpc/ndr/ndr_basic.c
Hi,
I have tried both RC4 and from the repository but I can't seem to get
samba4 to compile. I have rebuilt the OS (Centos 6.3) from scratch and I am
still having the same issue. I get:
WAF_MAKE=1 ./buildtools/bin/waf build
Waf: Entering directory `/opt/samba-master/bin'

Samba 4.20rc3 does not build on macOS
Hi, I am new here.
I just tried to build it Samba 4.20rc3 because I would like to use the "wspsearch" on macOS. (I also built it first on Debian 12.5, which worked fine.)
However, ./configure aborts:

WSP Search Issue: Can’t Find Filenames or Directories, Only Content
Hi Noel,
I've been trying to get the WSP server working for about a week now, and I
could really use your guidance ? I?m excited about the functionality and
want to help test it properly.
My issue is that I can?t seem to search for **filenames or directory
names** via the WSP protocol. Interestingly, content *within* files shows
up just fine in searches, and something like `kind:video` also

Samba4 consumes more CPU
Dear Andrew,
As per your suggestion , I have attached the gdb log of the samba and smbd
process log running in the single server mode.
Also when I noted in the perf top, libndr.so consumes the maximum cpu.
I noticed that it happens soon after sometime the samba process is started
and the CPU is filled up.
Since the samba process occupies 100% atleast two or more CPUs out of 8 CPU
, the clients
