[BioC] oligo ids
Thanks Sean! Your reply was very helpful. I already got almost what I wanted. I have some NA values but I will look if I can find them through bibliography or an external tool. oligo ids
Dear list, I am having a set of human oligo ids (H200006022 H200002025 H300004703 H200000442 H200005719 H300018350) which I want to map to Ensembl or RefSeq. I am sure R has a function to do that. I downloaded the {oligo} package and tried to use the probeNames function. Although the factor of ologo ids is an object (as the argument to probeNames should be) I retrieve the following error:

plockstat - chopped stack output
Hi - I''m trying to use plockstat to help identify any mutex contention issues we may have in our c++ app. >From the docs it would appear to be a very useful tool - unfortunately in practice this doesn''t bear out purely because the stack traces produced are limited to being 39/40 characters wide. In general this means that I''m not seeing ~75% of each stack symbol and

I have to group the similar features and take the median across them so that I have a data with no repeats to perform invariant analysis . My data looks something similar format probename sample1 sample2 sample3 A 2.3 2.4 2.5 A

Probe description does not match any probes
[Perhaps someone could rename this list to dtrace-matt-problems-discuss?] If I run this script against my binary (which contains a USDT probe called ''concurrentq-latency''): ::: / probename == "concurrentq-latency" / { printf("[%s]:[%s]:[%s]\n", probeprov, probefunc, probename); } I get this output: dtrace: script ''testq.d'' matched 46056

Why is plockstat provider only present for 1 process
Hi, I would like to know why dtrace -l |grep plockstat show plockstat28099 lines. Process with pid 28099 is a java process. Why can I not examine other processes with the plockstat provider? Is it a java startup option? Regards Hans -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Dtrace queries - predicates & func arg tracing
[1] Predicates in one-liners I would like to list the probe modules in my executable and then dynamically create a dscript to trace execution of those modules alone (by excluding the 3rd party and system libraries). I tried the below script without success. The conditional given in the predicate is not taking effect. Why is this so ? $ dtrace -ln ''pid$target:::

Dtrace & thread deadlock detection
The way some DBs work is by having a separate lock monitor thread that runs every few seconds. This thread inspects a list of waiting locks for any cycles, which would indicate a circular relationship between processes holding locks & processes waiting for locks. The db then chooses a victim & kills one of the processes. (See "Inside MS SQL Server" by Delaney, pp778 for

read.table not clearing colClasses
I am attempting to created colClasses for several tables, then read only specific columns. There are two different table layouts that I am working with. If I use exclusively one layout, the script works perfectly, but if I mix the layouts, it fails to grab the correct columns form layout that is read in second. It appears that colClasses fails to adopt the new structure after the first iteration.

Unnamed error while trying to create a VM
Hi, I''ve a b81 server running for a while. I''ve done all sorts of Python related stuff on it (nothing amazing, mostly compiled python2.5 and iPython in /usr/local), and now am trying to use it with xVM to install Windows on a virtual machine in it. I''m having trouble creating the new machine, and I get a blank error response like so when I try to do it:
