StdDialogButtonSizer
A set of extra files and a bigdemo sample patch to implement
StdDialogButtonSizer.
This is a neat little class that allows the OK/Cancel/Save/Yes/etc
buttons at the bottom of a custom Dialog to be shown with the correct
platform ordering, spacing and labelling.

Can't get past the splash screen
Hi,
I have a remote frontend (it's kept in the room which I don't have access) which is installed with CentOS 4 and Rocks . So, to use the desktop(Gnome) of the frontend I use the freenx + nomachine following the guide in http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?forum=20&topic_id=1640&viewmode=threaded. It worked. Then, I intended to add user, but I couldn't create the

Choosing a Sizer
Following alex advices, i''ve used both "text/textctrl.rb" and
"etc/threaded.rb" to build my first wxApp.
I''ve changed the Sizer type mainly (from "Wx::BoxSizer" to
"Wx::FlexGridSizer").
I didn''t find the way to let @log (Wx::TextCtrl) span 2 columns. At the time
of writing it''s growing only vertically.
And also how to get

Timeout tests timing out
Hi David,
Unfortunately writing a reliable test is tricky given that the
functionality we're trying to test involves timing. I would advise
against disabling the test entirely because it actually tests
functionality that people use. I'd suggest bumping up the time limits.
This is what I've done in the past. See

swig_up
Tracing down some things to add in validators and I''ve run across
something that kinda bothers me...
In order to implement validators you have to override the clone method.
The directors seems to be set up to specifically handle this situation.
However, whenever C++ calls back to the object''s methods the swig_get_up
function is returning false. It seems like swig_up

Layout Issue ...
The following program represents the basic layout of my application. The
problem I have is that the panel, and thus, the grid does not resize
when the window width is expanded.
Also, I would like the entire grid to be displayed without the
horizontal scroll bar. How can I force this behavior?
Please tell me if I am going about this incorrectly. I am just getting
familar with wxRuby and any

Centos 7.5..and My GDM Greeter/GDM Don't Work Anymore
So, we've updated to 7.5, and for two machines--A Dell Precision M4800,
and a Dell Precision 7510..both running Radeon cards--we no longer get
the GDM Greeter login box NOR can we switch to virtual text login
terminals. It's been driving me nuts. The systems do allow for SSH
logins, so that's how we get to them, but I've checked the Xorg.0.log
and nothing stands out. Did a

FlexGridSizer question

I am trying to understand how FlexGridSizer works and I have written a small
test application using the latest wxRuby 0.4.0 on Win XP (Home).
I cannot get static text ''Week'', ''Day'' and ''Date'' line up above the OK button.
I have tried all combinations of ALIGN flags, but I either got the text sticking

Problem verifying routing error
Hi,
When upgrading to rspec/rspec-rails 1.2.6 gem (from 1.1.12), I''m having
a new problem verifying routes that should not exist.
This is to support something like this in routes.rb:
map.resources :orders do |orders|
orders.resources :items, :except => [:index,:show]
end
I used to use lambda {}.should_raise( routing error ), but it stopped
detecting any raised error.
