Problem with ACL plugin system
Don''t know if anyone else has experienced this but I''m having a problem with the access_denied method in Ezra''s ACL access control plugin. It''s working fine (in conjunction with acts_as_authenticated) until it comes across a user it denies access to, in which case it throws the following error: NoMethodError in Admin#index protected method

State of the Art in Login?
Hi folks, I''ve got an older project I''ve used LoginGenerator for. It works pretty well, but lacks password resetting, etc. Now I''ve got a new project for a client that''s going to need login capabilities as well. I''ve been looking at the Salted Login Generator and the Login Engine, and have taken quick stabs at running through the installation

Question about Salted Hash Login Generator
Hi, I am using salted hash login generator to create my login page. In the user_environment.rb file, I saw that there is a comment saying should NOT include the email field in the changeable user fields array. Too many login generators?
there is a blog about it http://www.realityforge.org/articles/2005/11/12/aaa_in_rails There are so many Authentication/Authorization/Auditing generators now, just like the situation in java''s world, Too many components doing the samething just make me confusion. Why not add one to rails core lib and everybody can extend it for their requirement ? -- Posted via

[OT][Practices] The Case for RBAC/MAC

The value of your presentation rises or falls with your skill at presentation. 2: My embedded headless linux targets live in isolated networks, even relative to other computer or network equipment at the target site. VoIP monitoring tools
Hello all, The question isn't directly related to Asterisk, but I'm looking for recommendations for a monitoring tool to monitor the health of Asterisk instances running in Production. Ideally, the tool should be able to generate monitoring traffic (OPTIONS ping or INVITE), use the response/no response from Asterisk to store the health of an Asterisk instance running somewhere in the DB.
