Audit logging has been a bust. The failed attempt by the workstation to validate the password does not show up in the logs. I am (earlier reported under the subject "Peculiar Problem") having an issue that started several weeks ago, where windows (10 pro, server 2019) computers randomly get into a state where they refuse to validate passwords. Rebooting (sometimes several times) makes the problem go away. You can also log in if you disconnect the PC from the network and then reconnect. List of changes around

Asterisk executable suddenly about 40KB larger - modules
Hi guys Thanks for the pointers - I'll look into the possible compromise scenario though I've got no idea how I'll counter it -if- I manage to detect it...! I've disabled prelinking (thanks Tony!) and I'll see if that helps. Interesting thing I've now discovered (had this failure again at the head office this morning) is the "growth" in the file's size is

validating passwords
Hey people, I was wondering how to solve the following problem... I have a login system which uses MD5 + salts to store my users passwords in the database. Also I am working with profiles for my users which they can change. Everything goes quite okay except when we reach the change_profile bit of the application. Because the user model has validations it performs on the password it starts

NTLMSSP(NTLMv2) problems after PDC reboot
Hi all, In my win2k ADS server(mixed mode), I have set the LAN Manager authentication level to Send NTLMv2 response only\refuse LM & NTLM. Similarly, i also set HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\MSV1_0\NtlmMinClientSec --> 0x00080000(NTLMv2 Session

Hello, yes sadly update 8.9 of elasticsearch broke the samba integration. Seems like 8.10 is still broken. Stay on 8.8 until this is fixed. Ive emailed Ralph B?hme of Sernet already, but hes got no time for it atm. Im not sure about the second part of your bug report though: > There is a bug where when the samba server is running and files are being indexed while samba is running finder

NT4 PC's will not connect
We have been using Samba To connect 2 NT4 PC's to our Unix boxes. These Unix boxes use veritas clustering software for failover. During our failover test the veritas software unmounted the filesystems and moveed them to another server. We are connecting the PC's to the servers using a virtual IP address controlled by veritas. So when the second box mounted and the application on

error - dovecot - child (login) killed with signal 16
We've been happily running Dovecot in Solaris 10 for about 8 months now. Yesterday, Solaris 10's SMF put it in maintenance mode (shut it down) seemingly out of the blue. The only thing going on was that I had updated the ssl certificate. We had previously been using a self signed cert. Now we have a cert from InCommon. We had a problem with a few users who are still on ancient Eudora
