OpenSSH 5.1p1 - trouble connecting to ILO board
Hello, Recently, the FreeBSD base system OpenSSH was upgraded to OpenSSH_5.1p1 FreeBSD-20080901, OpenSSL 0.9.8e 23 Feb 2007 Before the upgrade, with OpenSSH_4.5p1 FreeBSD-20061110, OpenSSL 0.9.7e-p1 25 Oct 2004 I had no troubles connecting to the ssh server built-in into the HP Proliant G5 ILO management board, authenticating by id_dsa, v2 protocol. On that board, ssh server greets with

Hello friends, I am having some problems using sftp to reach a HMC IBM system. The connection is suddenly closed and I don't why. Actually I don't know exactly how to read all these debug information. I would be very glad with any help on this topic. 5.1p on RHEL 3 and password expiration
[ Sorry for the length of this; I felt it better to provide potentially too much info, rather than not enough. I've probably missed something that's important, though! ] I have an odd problem with 5.1p on RHEL3 if "UsePAM yes" and "UsePrivilegeSeparation no" is set. The code detects that the user password is aged (according to shadow) but then fails to let me

X11 forwarding problem -- openssh-3.5p1 -- redhat 8.0 -- linux 2.4.18
All, I'm working on upgrading a machine from RH 6.2 to RH 8.0. I've encountered one major (for me) snag in that I cannot get X11 forwarding to work anymore. I've been google-ing the error messages all morning, with no luck. Here is debugging output from the server (client debugging output sent upon request... I don't feel it is relevant). What I feel is interesting is at the

Problems using gssapi authentication from FreeBSD to Linux machines
Hi all, I'm really struggling with getting Kerberos authentication to work between a FreeBSD host and a Linux host. I'm using the latest 6- STABLE code on the FreeBSD box, I've got forwardable Kerberos tokens (verified with "klist -f") and Kerberos and ssh are working fine in all other ways, but I can't get the Linux box to accept the Kerberos ticket as

OpenSSH public key problem with Solaris 10
Hi ya'll- I've got this odd openssh problem with Solaris 10 I was hoping someone could shed some light on. Not sure if it is a bug... Basically I'm trying to use pubkeys as an auth method, but am having issues. I can log in using passwords no problem, but as soon as it notices a matching public key it closes the connection. I ran the sshd server (on Solaris 10 box) in debug

ssh hangs up
Hi All, I set a cron to connect to a a server in every 10 minutes. Sometimes it hangs up and I can not find why. (Once or twice a day) I tried to set ServerAliveCountMax 3 and ServerAliveInterval 15 in ssh_config without any success. The only way to continue is killing the ssh process. How can I solve this? Any other ssh option that could help? What happens or should happen when it hangs?

hi all, I got "xmalloc: out of memory" when i used ssh-keyscan to a remote host that is using SSH protocol 2 and only protocol 2 (no fallback to SSH protocol 1).
