Only domain admins can access shares
I've set up a single server with a DC and fileserver. I've read through all docs and the warnings on the wiki (VERY well done, many thanks to all the contributors) more than once so I hope I haven't missed anything.
smb.conf:
# Global parameters

Intermittent permission denied when accessing share
I'm having a weird situation with a freshly installed Samba v4.12.1 compiled from source. This is a single server with DC and fileserver, I followed all the guidelines for doing things correctly in this specific situation and I hope I haven't missed anything.
The server works correctly as expected, I'm managing all the permissions from Windows.
Unfortunately users occasionally

It's Ubuntu 16 LTS, so it's supported until 2021.

I said that's the old installation, in the new one we remapped all the single user entries to the new ACL from RSAT. So we opened

Purge Trash Fileserver
Thanks for the answer.
The problem that this way is pretty much the same as my find.
I want you to be able to delete the file based on the date they were
sent to the bin. As I gave in the example:
The file has not been changed since 2015, when it is deleted now in
2017, it goes to the bin, dated 2015, when the find pass will erase, why
it does not validate when it has been deleted, but the

vfs_recycle permission bug?!
Hai Marco,
Can you check this acl and attr are these installed?
type acl
type attr
Or just run : apt-get install -y acl attr
Try this :
chmod 1770 /srv/work/.cestino/
Which sets : "creator Owner" (1), Owner (7), Group (7), World (0)
So the owner and groups can create anything but your enforcing "creator owner"
Then set:
recycle:subdir_mode = 1700

GlusterFS, move files, Samba ACL...
A little strange things, but i'm hitting my head on the wall...
I needed to 'enlarge' my main filesystem (XFS backed-up), that contain my
main samba share and a brick for a GFS share; i've setup a new volume (for
the VM), formatted XFS, move all the file taking care to umount and stop GFS
(so, syncing the brick, not the GFS filesystem) using --acls and -attrs
rsync options.

Purge Trash Fileserver
Hello
My fileserver is a samba 4.5.4, in Ubuntu 14.04, is all ok.
My question is,
Have the recycle bin enabled, and would like a way to rotate the files,
already have something today that is via find
Find /mnt/samba -depth -mtime +30 -print -delete
This works however, it will delete the files inside the destination with
more than 30 days, but this more than 30 days is not when it went to

get_ea_dos_attribute: Cannot get attribute from EA on file .: Error = No data available
I'm pasting below the output of the debug script you sent me some time ago.
Other than this Samba has been compiled with standard options, just ./configure, following the wiki guide with the offered bootstrap file for ubuntu18.04.
root at fileserver:~# smbd -b
Paths:
SBINDIR: /usr/local/samba/sbin
BINDIR: /usr/local/samba/bin
CONFIGFILE: /usr/local/samba/etc/smb.conf

get_ea_dos_attribute: Cannot get attribute from EA on file .: Error = No data available
Samba 4.12.1, single server with AD+DC on Ubuntu 18.04. Filesystem:
/dev/sdb1 on /home type ext4 (rw,relatime,stripe=32750,data=ordered)
It all work as expected, but I occasionally get the error in subject which denies access to shares. Restarting Samba will restore functionality.
What can be the cause of this problem?
Thanks.
