strange password problem with rsync
Hi guys, I am experiencing a very strange problem with passwords and
username with rsync.
I have a "auth users" line in my /etc/rsyncd.conf file (see below) and a
corresponding username and password in my /etc/rsyncd.secrets. The strange
thing is is that authentication for the module listed in /etc/rsyncd.conf
(unixadm) only works IF the username in /etc/rsyncd.secrets is the same as

I was used (in SambaNT/OpenLDAP) to put on CUPS configuration the
statement (/etc/cups/cups-files.conf):
SystemGroup printops
and add to 'printops' group some users that can manage cups.
Now i'm in AD mode. I'm in 'printops' group:

Goodmorning everybody,
I need to run an R program via SSH. Usually I open R, I run the
program and I stay logged-in, waiting for the output. As a matter of
fact, if I close the connection with SSH I loose the calculations and
the output of my R program. What command I have to use in order to
preseve the calculations and the output without staying logged-in a SSH

Console
I am at my first steps with R... and I already notice that the console has a quite limited number of lines. Can anyone tell me how to visualise all the information, which is actually present? I only see the last part of the output, which obviosly exceeds the maximum number of rows in the console.
Thank you very much for your help!

nls: "missing value or an infinity" (Error in numericDeriv) and "singular gradient matrix"Error in nlsModel
Hi,
I am a non-expert user of R. I am essaying the fit of two different functions to my data, but I receive two different error messages. I suppose I have two different problems here... But, of which nature? In the first instance I did try with some different starting values for the parameters, but without success.
If anyone could suggest a sensible way to proceed to solve these I would be

help with bivariate density plot question
Hi Spencer,
I have seen your name on the web site, and perhaps you can
help me with my R problem.
I'm trying to use KernSur to put in evidence a substructure in a
bidimensional plot. My problem is that, in order to get the density
in the low density areas (in which the substructure is located) I should
use different bandwidths. How I can do that?
Also, I think that the best choice for my

Hi everybody!
I was using the function pvals.fnc from package 'languageR' until April.
I do not know which version. Yesterday I updated all my packages
and tried to run my loop again. Now I get the following error message:
error in pvals.fnc(mm, nsim = 1000) :

I guess it?s because of

Server overloaded? Or is it a bug?
Hi all!
I need your help.
My server doesn't respond any more. Everything crashed.
How can I find out if this is a bug or it is simply overloaded?
I don't have much running, just KDE with about 10 programs
on each of the 16 desktops, and a few background processes.
This seems much, but I often have much more stuff running,
and it is not even slow.
It does respond when I ping it, but

Can''t use this product in production as a result, I''d like to use it

Using clients 25.1 with master 25.1
This keeps re-occuring with every single puppet client run:

tcl/tk return problem
Hello,
I'm very new in working with tcl/tk in R and have a problem which will
probably
sound silly to most of you.
Here is the code I have problems with:
readcelfiles <- function()
{
require(tcltk)
tt <- tktoplevel()
tkgrid(tklabel(tt,text="Choose a directory!"))
OnOK <- function()
{
fileDir<-tclvalue(tkchooseDirectory())
