Hello Ben Skeggs,
The patch 176fdcbddfd2: "drm/nouveau/gsp/r535: add support for
booting GSP-RM" from Sep 19, 2023 (linux-next), leads to the

[PATCH v3 00/15] NVKM GSP RPC kernel docs, cleanups and fixes
Hi folks:
Here is the leftover of the previous spin of NVKM GSP RPC fixes, which
is handling the return of large GSP message. PATCH 1 and 2 in the previous
spin were merged [1], and this spin is based on top of PATCH 1 and PATCH 2
in the previous spin.
Besides the support of the large GSP message, kernel doc and many cleanups
are introduced according to the comments in the previous spin [2].

[PATCH 07/11] nouveau/gsp: convert gsp errors to generic errors
This should let the upper layers retry as needed on EAGAIN.
There may be other values we will care about in the future, but
this covers our present needs.

[PATCH] nouveau/gsp: drop the gsp failure message to a debug.
From: Dave Airlie <airlied at redhat.com>
These can happen in normal operations esp with auxch transactions.

[PATCH] nouveau/gsp: add three notifier callbacks that we see in normal operation (v2)
Add NULL callbacks for some things GSP calls that we don't handle, but know about
so we avoid the logging.
v2: Timur suggested allowing null fn.

[PATCH] nouveau/gsp: Avoid addressing beyond end of rpc->entries
Using the end of rpc->entries[] for addressing runs into both compile-time
and run-time detection of accessing beyond the end of the array. Use the
base pointer instead, since was allocated with the additional bytes for
storing the strings. Avoids the following warning in future GCC releases
with support for __counted_by:

[PATCH] nouveau/gsp: use correct size for registry rpc.
From: Dave Airlie <airlied at redhat.com>
Timur pointed this out before, and it just slipped my mind,
but this might help some things work better, around pcie power
management.

[PATCH][next] nouveau/gsp: replace zero-length array with flex-array member and use __counted_by
Fake flexible arrays (zero-length and one-element arrays) are deprecated,
and should be replaced by flexible-array members. So, replace
zero-length array with a flexible-array member in `struct
PACKED_REGISTRY_TABLE`.
Also annotate array `entries` with `__counted_by()` to prepare for the
coming implementation by GCC and Clang of the `__counted_by` attribute.

[PATCH] nouveau/gsp: drop WARN_ON in ACPI probes
From: Dave Airlie <airlied at redhat.com>
These WARN_ONs seem to trigger a lot, and we don't seem to have a
plan to fix them, so just drop them, as they are most likely
harmless.

[PATCH] nouveau/gsp: don't check devinit disable on GSP.
From: Dave Airlie <airlied at redhat.com>
GSP should be handling this and I can see no evidence in opengpu
driver that this register should be touched.

[PATCH 1/2] nouveau: handle EBUSY and EAGAIN for GSP aux errors.
From: Dave Airlie <airlied at redhat.com>
The upper layer transfer functions expect EBUSY as a return
for when retries should be done.
Fix the AUX error translation, but also check for both errors
in a few places.

[PATCH] [v2] nouveau: add command-line GSP-RM registry support
Add the NVreg_RegistryDwords command line parameter, which allows
specifying additional registry keys to be sent to GSP-RM. This
allows additional configuration, debugging, and experimentation
with GSP-RM, which uses these keys to alter its behavior.
Note that these keys are passed as-is to GSP-RM, and Nouveau does
not parse them. This is in contrast to the Nvidia driver, which may

the auxch also needs the same treatment, so add the same retry

[PATCH] nouveau/gsp: fix getting max channel id for GSP
From: Dave Airlie <airlied at redhat.com>
The fence code uses the total number of channel ids to allocate a
bunch of memory for fencing. This is probably not the best way to
do this, but it's hard to fix right now.
The GSP code realises it can fit 8 channels into a USERD
page, so it claims it can support 256 channels max, but it then
allocates channel ids sparsely (0, 8, 16 etc).
