Tabulation with ENTER key
Dear all, I think this can be interesting for others too. For a while I tried to solve that problem - how to tabulate with ENTER/RETURN key too and not only with TAB. You know the problem - you are entering a lot of numbers from numeric keypad but you need to go far left to press TAB. This prevents one-hand data entry and prohibits web apps to be used by accountants, for instance. Here is a

Open a (redbox) modal popup from inside a controller?
Hi, I''m trying to open a modal popup window using redbox to display a styled notification/alert to the user. The helpers in the redbox documentation only describe how to open a redbox when the user clicks on a link, e.g., link_to_redbox() or link_to_remote_redbox(). Is there any way to open a redbox, or a different type rails- compatible modal popup, from inside a controller action?

[PATCH server] Update app to work with rails 2.3.2
Note that this does not fix gettext for app, that will be done separately in another patch as F10/F11 require different setups for that. In the meantime gettext works if manually changed in environment.rb to gettext_rails instead of gettext/rails Signed-off-by: Jason Guiditta <jason.guiditt at gmail.com> --- src/app/controllers/application.rb | 200 --------

Event.observe vs. element.onxxx =
What are the pros and cons of using Event.observe vs. element.onxxx = somefunction ? I noticed that a lot of sau code doesn''t use Event.observe. For example, InPlaceEditor uses this.form.onsubmit = this.onSubmit.bind(this); In my code I''ve made a habit of using the equivalent (for example): this.onSubmitListener = this.onSubmit.bind(this);

Wine 20050725 - Keyboard input not being recognised in 3d - mystery
Hi, Running the latest version of wine, I have come across a problem that seems simple but I can't find a fix to it! As a more in-depth look at the problem described in this thread: http://www.winehq.org/hypermail/wine-users/2005/08/0012.html When I run 3d applications my keyboard will not respond, however in 2d applications such as notepad I get the same error messages however the

Behaviour.js and prototype Event.observe
say I have some code like this: Behaviour.register({ ''#clickme'' : function(el) { Event.observe(el, ''click'', function(event) { alert("clickme was clicked"); }); } }); Behaviour.apply(); Behaviour.apply(); the element with the id of ''clickme'' will now have 3 onclick event observers. Is there a way to work around this? I

Problem with keypress event handling
Hi all, we are writing a cross browser Javascript control that enhances the HTML text input element in order to accept only digits (more or less). Supposing that ''domText'' is the DOM element corresponding to the HTML text input, we wrote the following: Event.observe(domText, "keypress", this.onKeyPress.bindAsEventListener(this)); where this.onKeyPress =

[PATCH server] updated anyterm/ovirt integration
host static anyterm content locally, url parameterize anyterm rows/cols/general param update spec/makefile Ideally I wanted and tried hard to put all this into a seperate ovirt-server--anyterm subpackage, but we cannot 'reopen' the ovirt server virtual host defined in ovirt-server.conf to add the neccessary rewrite rules. it would be nice to figure out a way to do this ---

Small doubts with clonePosition, Keypress and this
Hello Guys, I comes to try to clarify some small doubts, I''m trying to create a function that, if I positioned over this, create a box around the cell, but I don''t want to alter values of style, I think that a good way is create a floating table with the same dimensions, to do this, I found "Position": overlap but says it''s obsolete, then I found clonePosition

Kernel panic w/ DAHDI 2.x/Digium TE220B
I've seen this consistently on three systems, with three different cards, and multiple versions of DAHDI. At first I thought the issue only occurred on newer, Nehalem-based, systems, but I reproduced it on a Core 2 Duo box as well. I've tested with dahdi-linux 2.2.0.2, dadhi- linux-complete 2.0.0+2.0.0, 2.1.0.2+2.1.0.2, and 2.2.0.2+2.2.0. The card is a Digium TE220B which uses the

Backspace key is sending Delete after update to 4.4 (tcsh issue?)
Maybe it was always sending Delete and I didn't notice it, but I have had the following in my .tcshrc file for ages (without realizing it): bindkey -b ^? i-search-back Before the update to 4.4, hitting the backspace key at the shell prompt deleted the previous character. Now it activates the search backwards function as instructed to do so by the bindkey directive. The

Observer best practices
I''ve seen two ways of connecting observers: 1) In the observer class put observe MyModel 2) In the controller class put observer :my_observer What is the difference between these two? Also, is it necessary to put in the observer class the following? MyObserver.instance Jose -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.
