[LLVMdev] llvm build error with gcc-4.3.2 on OpenSolaris
I am unable to build llvm-2.7 or llvm-2.8 svn with the gcc-4.3.2 that comes with OpenSolaris.
$ uname -a

Tr: ISOLINUX failure with Connectix Virtual PC 4.3.2
In fact, I discovered that the bug is caused when there is no primary hard disk image (no hard disk 0).
When an HD image is created and attached, ISOLINUX works well:

Tcl socket server (tcltk) does not work any more on R 4.3.2
Dear list,
It seems that something changed between R 4.2.3 and R 4.3 (tested with 4.3.2) that broke the Tcl socket server. Here is a reproducible example:
- R process #1 (Tcl socket server):

as.character.Date() strips names in R 4.3.2 beta, bug?
In previous versions of R, as.character.Date() retained any names on
its input vector. In R 4.3.2 beta, it removes names. Is this change
intentional, or a bug? (For what it's worth, I greatly dislike this
change, and hope it gets changed back.)

I have discovered an incompatibility between Connectix Virtual PC 4.3.2 and ISOLINUX 1.75:
when I boot a .iso CD image using Virtual PC 4.3.2 software, I get the following errors (debug version):

Bug in set_effective_uid on AIX 4.1.5 /4.3.2 Samba 2.0.3
Dear samba-Team,
The bug reported in PR#12819 for AXI 4.1.5 persits
also in samba 2.0.3.
The Bug prevents the connecting of other users as root to any
share.
I have a workaround/fix tested on AIX 4.1.5 ,4.3.2 with
gcc 2.8.1 here:
Change samba-2.0.3/source/lib/util_sec.c

Create Domain Trust Help Samba-4.3.2
First, Thank you all for this forum, as I am fairly new at both Ubuntu
and Samba I have found most the answers to my issues here.
Now correct me if I am wrong but Samba 4.3.2 should be able to support
Domain Trusts. If so maybe you can help me, here is what I have:
NT4 Domain: adc.com (Holds are production servers and user accounts for
that domain)
Controller = enterprise.abc.com

qr.solve() gives incorrect results when dealing with complex matrices or with qr objects that have been computed with LAPACK=TRUE, whenever the b argument has more than one column. This bug flows from qr.coef(), which has a similar problem. I believe

Using spec.ls to interpolate very long time series
I have an very long, irregularly spaced time series (and I'm also new to
spectral analysis, so please be patient.) I want to use spec.ls as an
interpolator and then use the output to reconstruct the time series via
inverse fft. But so far I've been having difficulty doing this.

The following caught me off-guard:

It works! But Once I have the square root of this matrix, how do I convert it
to a real (not imaginary) matrix which has the same property? Is that

Wine does nothing Help !!!!!
Hello everyone..
I have installed wine-0.9.30 from source ( just ran tools/wineinstall from the source directory ). It installed without any problems. But when I try to run any program using wine it does nothing, just hangs there. It does not give any error also.
I did a "strace" on the process here is some of the strace output.
