[PATCH] Btrfs: don't split dio bios if we don't have to
We have been unconditionally allocating a new bio and re-adding all pages from our original bio to the new bio. This is needed if our original bio is larger than our stripe size, but if it is smaller than the stripe size then there is no need to do this. So check the map length and if we are under that then go ahead and submit the original bio. Thanks, Signed-off-by: Josef Bacik

[GIT PULL] Btrfs updates for 2.6.37-rc
Hi everyone, The master branch of the btrfs unstable tree: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mason/btrfs-unstable.git master Has a collection of btrfs bug fixes. The three most important fixes here address crashes in the btrfs O_DIRECT code, add a migrate_page operation to avoid metadata corruption as btree pages go through migration, and fix up our NFS support. Otherwise we have

New integration branch for btrfs-progs

[RFC] Online dedup for Btrfs
Hello, I was bored this weekend so I hacked up online dedup for Btrfs. It''s working quite well so I think it can be more widely tested. There are two ways to use it 1) Compatible mode - this is a bit slower but will handle being used by older kernels. We use the csum tree to find duplicate blocks. Since it is relatively easy to have crc32c collisions this also involves reading the

[PATCH] Btrfs-progs: fix incorrect root backref errors in fsck
A user reported that fsck was complaining about unresolved refs for some snapshots. You can reproduce this by doing mkfs.btrfs /dev/sdb mount /dev/sdb /mnt btrfs subvol snap /mnt/ /mnt/a btrfs subvol snap /mnt/ /mnt/b btrfs subvol del /mnt/a umount /mnt btrfsck /dev/sdb and you''d get this unresolved ref root 258 dir 256 index 2 namelen 1 name a error 600 because snapshot b has a dir

[PATCH] Btrfs: fall back to non-inline if we don't have enough space
If cow_file_range_inline fails with ENOSPC we abort the transaction which isn''t very nice. This really shouldn''t be happening anyways but there''s no sense in making it a horrible error when we can easily just go allocate normal data space for this stuff. [PATCH] Btrfs: fix another orphan cleanup problem
Because orphan cleanup now happens well after the fs is all initialized and such, we can run into this problem where we find orphan entries that were just added to the fs, not ones that were added previously during a crash. This does not bode well for the system, and results in a couple of odd things happening, like truncate being run on non-regular files. In order to fix this we just check and

[Patch v3] btrfs: use file_remove_suid() after i_mutex is held
V2 -> V3: set ''err'' to -ENOMEM when kmalloc() fails. Thanks to Tao. V1 -> V2: Move kmalloc() before mutex_lock(), suggested by Arjan. file_remove_suid() should be called with i_mutex held, file_update_time() too. So move them after mutex_lock(). Plus, check the return value of kmalloc(). Signed-off-by: WANG Cong <amwang@redhat.com> Cc: Arjan
