Problems with link-dest
Hello,
I want to use the link-dest feature. Changed files should not be written again
but only linked from existing location.
I execute rsync:
florian@horus ~/python $ rsync --relative --recursive -vv
"/home/florian/Desktop/back" "/home/florian/backupTest/2006-05-07"
building file list ...

Error while trying to manage file share
I checked my entire setup again and again. Now I can see the my share. The
most relevant change I did (afaik - ofcourse):
- since I am using ad backend I created dedicated unix admin groups (as
recommended in the docs)
- I removed the $ from the share section/defnition ([projects$] ->
[projects])
- I changed browseable switch from 'no' to 'yes'
Iam still getting the "event

iirc, as pointed out by Jeremy, we only need if for managing open files,

Unable to set attributes in a samba share (error 0x00000005)
Hi,
I've set a share using samba, connected it to my Active Directory, and
now I'm having problems when I copy files into this share.
To setup the AD connection I've followed
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_a_Domain_Member,
and installed it into my Debian 9 install using APT, after
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Distribution-specific_Package_Installation.

Trouble managing ACLs from Windows
Hello list,
following the guidance from here
(https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_a_Share_Using_Windows_ACLs)
I have set up a file server which is member of a Samba 4.6.9 AD domain.
I have created ACLs using a Windows client with a domain admin account.
While I have no issues with some folders, the server denies access to
others to users that should have access by means of group

Roaming profiles
Hey,
I want to use a debian stretch with samba 4 as a fileserver, but I have
problems with the access.
Here is what I did:
apt-get install samba winbind libpam-heimdal libnss-winbind
/etc/init.d/winbind stop
/etc/init.d/samba stop
nano /etc/krb5.conf https://pastebin.com/rkBPJ2Wz

wiki.samba.org: numerous pages broken: Internal Error
Hello,
Over the past several days, I have been unable to view a number of pages
on the Samba wiki. There seems to be a server-side problem that
manifests as pages saying "Internal Error" and showing a PHP backtrace
instead of rendering the actual content.
Not all wiki pages are affected, but here is a partial list of the
broken pages I've encountered:
